Is this an outdoor wedding, or part of your theme somehow?
Honestly, I'd put the money you'd spend on inexpensive fleece blankets towards a food or beverage upgrade.

I agree with Powers. Make sure your guests know it's outside so they can dress appropriately, have an inside backup in case it's really, really cold, and skip the blankets.
