We get married this Saturday and are looking at a high in the mid 50s and lows in the mid-high 30s. Since my fiancè's grandma was apparently surprised our ceremony will be outdoors even though she's known this for years, I'm now worried about people not dressing for the weather and being cold. Should I get some blankets to set out for people? FH says that if they're dumb enough to wear a t-shirt that's on them, but the mom friend in me can't imagine letting people go cold. The ceremony will be half an hour at most. Should I get blankets? If so, how many? We have 125 guests attending so do I get 50, 75, 100?

As an update for everyone because I'm too busy to be worried about this anymore: we bought 130 blankets for everyone. I truly believe no one will be as uncomfortable as some of you think. And to answer the question there is no warmer environment for our ceremony available, just a place that's covered in case of rain.

If if it’s that cold, guests are responsible to dress appropriately which most will do without being prompted, and hopefully the ceremony is indoors. Depending on the guest list, some people may not take the blankets.

    Congratulations, I presume.

How was the weather? Were the guests okay?

Thank you! The weather turned out to be as beautiful as we were going to get. It was still chilly, but the sun came out to help warm people up and any wind was pretty well blocked during the ceremony. I ended up buying enough blankets for everyone to use as favors and placed them where people were entering the ceremony area. Guests absolutely loved them and we got so many comments about what a great idea they were and how much people appreciated having them.

I'm glad to hear that you had good weather. And that is certainly great that people were so appreciative of your preparations.
