Blended family unity?

Paige, on August 25, 2019 at 7:55 PM Posted in Wedding Ceremony 0 8

We are becoming a blended family on august 29,2020. What ideas have you all seen for unity ceremonies that involve the kids (5 and 7). I thought about the paint canvas but am a little worried about getting it on their suits... What else could we do? Pictures are always good too!

I saw a ceremony a few months back that was lovely.

They had different paint colors per person. And placed their hands in paint. They had this beautiful reclaimed wooden mounted board with a frame.

I've seen it a few different ways on pinterest.

How did they wash the paint off their hands during the ceremony?

My son is going to be 12, and I haven’t any ideas on anything either! I know some people do sand ceremonies with different color sands, but we’ll be on the beach so that won’t work because of the wind.

We did a "money" bonsi tree planting. It has multiple trunks woven together. We had mine and his parents add dirt as support before we added ours together but you could do it with your children instead.

At our actual wedding, we did a sand ceremony. We had small vases with sand for each of us and our kids, then we layered them together in a larger vase.
