Boob jobs

Jennifer, on August 3, 2016 at 7:04 PM Posted in Fitness and Health 0 20

Hello ladies! I have been wanting to have a breast augmentation for a few years now but it always ended up in the back burner. Now that I'm planning my wedding, I definitely want to make it happen. I'm super excited to finally have it done. Has anyone else had any plastic surgery before wedding? How did it go?

I'll be doing my BA after my wedding (same boat as you, it keeps getting put on the back burner because life, wedding and bills get in the way) but I did do my nose in 2014. Such a good decision, I have never once regretted it. I'm so much happier having gotten rhinoplasty that I wish I had done it sooner. The post op was very hard but so worth it, I'm not upset every time I look in the mirror now. Spend the money on a good doc and do your research do that you are in the best possible hands. I can't imagine feeling regret after surgery so definitely do your research into the best doc.

My BFF had her breasts done and she loves them. And im not going to lie they look great. She was in extreme pain afterwards though for about a week. I would love to get mine done but I just don't have the money or guts to do it.

I had a breast reduction in 2007. My advice to you is definitely do your research, find a doctor that has excellent reviews. Although I am happy I went through with it I wish I researched doctors more and picked another one. Good luck!!

My two sisters, my mom and my aunt all had augmentation by the same surgeon. Everyone's surgery and recovery went great except for one. My oldest sister had a lift as well which involves more cutting and shunts. The nurse forgot to give her a post surgery antibiotic and she got a massive infection that nearly went septic. Then she had an allergic reaction to the injected antibiotic. Recovery was hard and she said she likes her bobs but would never go thru it again. My other sister's beasts looked great until she lost a ton of weight. Then the pockets became too big since she has less breast tissue and the flip over. She is getting them redone by a different surgeon. Just be sure to do your research all around.

Yes, life gets in the way of sometimes doing things for yourself. I'm hoping to be as happy with my results as you are with my surgery! The doc I'm looking to use has done my mom's and a couple other friends. I can't wait!!

I've had mine done. Do it at least 6 months before the wedding so they "drop" into the right place and aren't swollen at all. Definitely go to a recommended Doctor!

I had breast reduction about twelve years ago. It was worth it but the post op was hard.

How old are you? I used to think about it not very seriously and I've grown naturally quite a bit from the start to end of my 20s. Just something to consider if you're on the young end still.

I'm waiting until after kids to get mine (my beasts are uneven, I just want them to be the same size) I want to wait and see how pregnancy changes my body before spending the money.

No real advice as I like the size of mine, but I will most likely get a lift when I'm 30 (24 now). Best of luck to you though Smiley smile

I had a BA done about 6 years ago. I knew I wanted one from a very young age and finally just did it for myself.

    1. Do your research on your surgeon

    2. Pick a size you are comfortable with. They allowed me to take 2 size implants home to wear around in a sports bra to help me decide

    3. Everyone recovers differently. Personally, I got sick off the pain killers they gave me and decided to not take them and I was fine. Drink lots of fluids and get one of the pillows that prop you up as you won't be able to or want to sleep flat for a few weeks.

I had a BA about 3 years ago and I second everything Nicole L just said.

Definitely do your research. Ask tons of questions. I had 2 different consultations. I didn't feel comfortable with the first doctor. Everyone recovers differently. I never took my pain pills or muscle relaxers again after the first night. I was shopping 2 days after the surgery. However, i would do it pretty soon so that your implants have proper time to drop into place and any swelling can go down.

Mine just turned 11. I can tell you I can't wait to get them redone after we have a baby because some weight gain and gravity is obvious to me. I will also tell you they are awesome. I love them. But I was a small b. I now don't even register on most easy to find bra sizes which really sucks and is a constant struggle. I rarely can find a bra, and especially not a bikini top, that fits these things. So just do your research on size for sure. You'll always want them bigger, everyone seems to. And do whatever your Dr says for recovery. I did every little thing because I didn't want to mess them up. Take vitamin E capsules, helps soften them up along with vitamin E oil on the scars. Massage them. I didn't wear underline for a year because my Dr told me not to. If you're ready I'd say get them asap so they have time to settle. You'd be surprised the difference a year makes.

I'm hoping to get them done in January next year. I'll have about 9 months of recovery. That should be a decent amount of time for them to settle in and no swelling, hopefully

I got my breasts done back when I was 22 in 2012. I went from barley even a A cup to a DD. I did a 580 cc saline implant through the nipple. I personally love mine, they are very even, natural looking and also fall like normal boobies. Although, my only regret is not waiting until AFTER having kids which means after I do have kids, I'll probably have to go under the knife again because I know they'll probably be ruined after getting Pregnant. I don't know if this is TMI but I do want to warn you .. After getting my surgery, my nipples did go completely 100% numb and I did NOT gain back all of the sensitivity in them until about a year after and to this day I still don't have the same sensitivity I had before surgery (and probably never will) my right nipple is a bit more sensitive than the left and both of my areolas (and the surrounding skin) are completely numb so it can be a bit annoying if I have an itch or something because I can't really scratch the itch. Just something to keep in mind before you go under. But other than the numbness, I do love mine. Just be sure to tell your Dr. EXACTLY what you want. I wanted mine to look as natural as possible and they do. Even though they do fall, they also have a nice perkiness to them when I wear a certain type of bra.

ETA: I was in extreme pain for a few days after surgery, but then again I am also a baby when it comes to pain.

I had mine done in May and here we are 4 months later and I forget I even have them most days! They feel so natural I don't even think about them. I went back to work after 3 days it all just depends on the job you have cause you can't lift anything heavy like at all they tell you to get half gallons of milk and stuff for the first two weeks and you can't raise your arms above your head. My friend also has hers done and had kids after and her's are still fine. I got a lot of backlash from people saying I need to wait to have them done till I have kids. But honestly it's the best decision I ever made! You can still possibly breastfeed there is nothing saying that because you got a boob job you can't. And as far as numbness in your boobs I went under the boob for placement have a little scar under each one and you can never see it cause it's in the fold of my boobs and my nipples are perfectly fine as are the rest of my boobs when it comes to feelings.

I had a double mastectomy in Sept 13 due to breast cancer with reconstruction following and ending in Oct 2014. I had saline implants put in and they are not very squishy. I have no feeling in my boobs due to the surgery. I just saw my plastic surgeon last week and he is starting a study to replace the saline with silicon implants. They will feel more real than the ones I have. I am hoping to have surgery in Dec so I can shop for a wedding dress after the first of the year. So, when talking with your doctor, consider the implant and the material it is made of.
