Booking vendors

I wouldn't stress it but if you are able to you may want to consider it. Only because many brides had to postpone their weddings due to COVID, if there is a vendor that you absolutely love then it may be beneficial to you!

You should definitely book your vendors as soon as you can especially if they are popular.

I would focus on the vendors that can only do one or very few events per day, and sounds like you booked a lot of those already - venue, catering, photographer, DJ, officiant. Vendors like florists and cake bakers that just deliver a product vs. providing a service can handle a good number of events in one day, but even so, I wouldn't wait too long considering all of the postponed COVID weddings.

A year out is not "early." Most vendors already have very limited availability for 2022. Do it ASAP.

I would start booking. I'm getting married Sept 2022 and I'm struggling with a few of the ones that can only do a couple events a day (officiant, musicians, HMUA)

Book your vendors now. Many vendors on Instagram say they are mostly booked for 2022 and starting to book for 2023. Because of postponements they are very busy.

I’m also getting married in Aug 2022. I have started booking vendors already and have had several including a florist who are already fully booked! My thought is that if I book things now, I will be more likely to get in with my preferred vendors and it also means it’s done and I don’t have to worry about it while trying to organize everything else!

I would definitely book now. Better to book early and get the vendors you want than miss out on one you really want because you waited.

My wedding is in 2023 and almost all of my vendors are booked. But I’m by DC and a log of places were filling up!

I’d book as soon as you’re able to! I’m getting married Sept 2022, and running into a fair amount of already-booked vendors; even for vendors like florists, which as mentioned earlier, are typically vendors that can take on multiple events in a day. I would especially encourage you to book if it’s a vendor you don’t want to miss out on! :]

Mine is in March 2022 and many vendors are getting booked up. I've had musicians, photographers, and florists tell me they are getting full for all of 2022!
