So I told myself I wouldn't be like this on here but this is getting on my last nerves. Okay so I decided I want to wear boots at my wedding.. I also want my Bridal Party to wear boots. Okay so I decided I want to wear boots at my wedding..

I also want my Bridal Party to wear boots.

My mom says to me "I hope your bridesmaids are wearing long dresses then"

cause SHE thinks it looks repulsive. and tacky

I replied to her "well i guess now I have to"

and she continues on about how tacky it looks, I told her its a good thing you don't have to pay for em them.

So is this wrong?

I think the boots with Bridemaid dresses are really cute. and even some wedding dresses.

ah! can you send me some pictures of how you are decorating the hall? cause mine is at a hall and want advice on how to make it rustic (if thats what you are going for)

where do you get your boots? Smiley laugh

i really like the white ones, haha I still have 9 months to decide so im not too worried but I know for sure I'm wearing boots

I am not doing anything country really. I am having purple lights and I have hurricane vases with purple candles for centerpieces. I am also putting Hershey kisses on the tables. there is not really anything that says "country" other than the music choice. which will be about 90% country music!! my friends and I line dance all the time oh and I am from a big CITY! not even a country.

It's your wedding, do what you like. It's not something that I would do for my wedding. But if it's something you really like, go for it.

Look back at your mothers wedding pictures (esp if she got married in the early 80s like mine)... and then the conversation will probably end. My mom had a beautiful wedding for 1982, but if i showed up to that same wedding today... I would cry.

Do what makes YOU happy and as long as your BP is comfortable. Will it look the same 30 years from now? Probably not. But that's not the point. I think it's adorable. I'm in Texas and brides do it very often here.

Your mom sounds like my mom.

But I'm wearing boots on my wedding day anyway! Here they are.

If it fits with your wedding theme and the BM dresses, sometimes you just have to do it. Or compromise and have them only wear boots for part of the day.

Lady monk what did you hide? its not letting me view it.

    I dont know why though.

I saw a pair o boots i love but they are no longer sold and I'm not into buying dresses that are over 100 dollars for the bridemaids i told them I would try to keep everything dress and shoes under 100 theres cute dresses they can get for like 60, and boots for like 30

Do what you want, girl! I think they'd look great with that dress. I have never owned a pair of cowboy boots and personally do not really like country style, but I'm getting married on a ranch and we're going with a rustic barn type theme and I found the perfect boots that I'll be wearing. They aren't "real" cowboy boots but I'm wearing them with a high-low dress. and my BMs are wearing dark brown boots with tea length tulle skirts. Normally I wouldn't like the style but I love it in combination with the venue. I've gotten my fair share of crap from family and friends who aren't fans. It's not their day and if they want their high heels getting stuck in the grass and mud, that's on them. Definitely don't cover up those boots with a long skirt though! There's no point in even getting them then!

This is your wedding and you do whatever you want. Personally, I am sick of boots, burlap and lace. It is so over done the last few years, but again...it is your wedding and you do what you want.

If you want boots...do boots. If you want bunny slippers and Elmer Fudd hats, then so be it. Your wedding, your way...period. Your mom had her wedding...this isn't her wedding.

What style boots? I like square cut but my mom thinks it should be round or pointed and I'm just overwhelmed
