Bottle Centerpieces

My FH is really into beer so we’re planning to do growlers (wine bottle sized) with fairy lights. Since the opening of the bottle is small I’m not sure what to do with the battery pack.
Has anyone done something like this before?
How did you hide the battery pack?

What if you tape/glue it to the neck of the bottle and the wrap twine or ribbon around the top. It’ll also class up the bottles a bit.

Get ones that come with a remote control. You can cover the battery pack in the bottom of the growler with a some artificial hops.

My 30 second example with a beer bottle not bomber/growler, but hope this helps!

Michaels/amazon have ones with a wine stopper top where the battery is. It should fit a growler.

You can buy fairy lights that are made for wine bottles and the battery pack is shaped like a cork. I got mine off Amazon. I'm not sure if this would work for your growlers or not (i think the opening on the growler might be bigger). The idea of remote control fairy lights is great other wise!

I do this with a vase on my kitchen table and I lay the battery pack down flat and due to the curvature on the bottom, it's not very noticeable. But if it were, I'd probably put in glass beads or pebbles or something to hide it.

Anyway, since you can't fit a battery pack in through the top, I don't see a great way to hide it without some kind of big bulky thing stuck to your bottle - maybe a big flower arrangement of some sort would work (are you having a bouquet in the vase? You could try putting the pack in the center of it and wrapping everything tightly), or else try cutting holes in the bottom of the growlers (I know, this would ruin their functionality) and feeding them up through that way. You could even do small holes and hide the pack in some sort of base, just threading the lights through the bottle with the pack outside. There's plenty of tutorials online for how to cut bottles.

Oooh seeing PPs now, I like the cork idea too! Thinking about it I'm sure there's lots of options with smaller battery packs; mine is about the size of 2 matchbooks end-to-end.

I ran into this issue for a household decor piece. We have a really tall vase filled with different pine cones and lights throughout- my dumb butt put the light box in the bottom forgetting I’d have to dig it out to turn it on 😂 I redid it so the light box was on the outside and I cornered it against the wall so no one would see. Do you have any other decor you could put around it? Maybe hide it in greenery?

I just ordered a bunch of fairy lights last night, to put inside of blue mason jars as a nice eclectic touch to our centerpieces. I am hoping to tape the battery pack to the top of the inside of the lid! Love these little fairy lights! I have read on most of the reviews that the battery pack was too wide to fit down the neck of the bottle. I wonder if its possible to drill a hole in the bottom of your bottles and glue the battery pack to the underside of the bottle?
