1. Choose a photographer whose photos you love!
2. Ask for recommendations. I found mine via recommendation of a friend.
3. Look for a photographer who is communicative and willing to answer all of your questions. If they’re open and honest and willing to answer your questions, chances are they will be sensitive to any apprehension or nervousness at the shoot.
4. Be willing to try poses that make you uncomfortable. She had me get into some really “vulnerable” positions, but the pictures turned out gorgeous!
5. Get your hair and makeup done by a professional! It makes a huuuuuuuge difference!
6. Drink a butt-ton of water in the days before your shoot. My skin was way more “glowy” than normal and it showed in the pictures.
7. Choose outfits that you are comfortable in and that fit your personality.
8. Bring your bridal gear! I wore my veil and wedding jewelry and it was so beautiful! I wish I’d had a garter, but I haven’t ordered it yet. ☹️
9. Show some boob! Seriously! I hadn’t planned on it, but we ended up taking some “uncovered” photos. They’re Aaaaaaamazing!
10. Bring a friend! One of my close friends had her photos taken too and it was so great to have her there to make me laugh and calm down.
11. Bring a fan! I got so sweaty from all of the posing. It was nice to stand in front of my fan to cool down!
12. Pop an Ibuprofen or two! You will be sore the next day!
