Boudoir pics

mermaidcalderon052618, on June 18, 2017 at 12:14 AM Posted in Community Conversations 0 5

Ever since I told FH what boudoir photography even was, he has been super excited and hoping that I would do some. So I talked to our photographer and she said we could do them in studio or I could rent a hotel room so we could use a bed. A con to renting a hotel room is if she has to edit anything, it would be more difficult than using the studio since the studio is one solid color. Is there anyone who wishes they would have rented a hotel room but didn't for their pics?

I don't have any experience in this area, but I feel like you won't be as excited about the hotel as you think. I mean, I've never been in a hotel that I thought was particularly pretty. Could she do a few in your bedroom then the rest in studio maybe?

I did mine in the hotel we were staying at for the wedding and I felt much more comfortable because it was a relaxing space. We took shots on the bed and some by the window using the sheer curtain and my veil. I was a little hesitant because I'm a little on the shy side about my body but it turned out to be a lot of fun and I'm glad I did it! My husband doesn't know I did it and I'm planning to make them into a book as a present for him! My advice would be to check out the studio space before you decide. If they have nice furniture it could work pretty well for you, if not, book a room! Good luck!

It honestly depends on her studio. My boudoir photographer had a bed, a couch, a fancy full length mirror, and a fancy chair as her sets. It was awesome because we just had to walk around her studio. I would check out the studio first but it sounds like she has a photography studio and not really boudoir sets. If that's the case, I would get a hotel room. You're going to want a bed or a couch to pose on. I feel like doing it in a regular studio would look strange and more like a lingerie model shoot as opposed to a gift for my husband shoot

My boudoir photographer had her own studio with a bed, couch, window and drapes, chairs, and everything you could ever want. I would recommend finding one that does this professionally, instead of having your photographer try this new.
