@tulip, I think her Groupon expires in 125 days. I also agree that you should check the fine print about whether they can distribute the photos or not.

I loved my experience. I didn't do it through Groupon. It was really expensive. I regret paying so much, but I did love the pictures.

I would love to do boudoir photo shoot sounds like a blast but I think I'd have to have my brothers bf do it they are both art majors and have done photography.I think anyone else I'd be too shy .

Those pictures are private. Most people are not going to share them with you.

They are so fun! I did mine last week and loved it. Just make sure you have a photographer who you feel comfortable with!

Joelle that picture is great and very appropriate. I love it and I love that it makes you feel good. I took my own boudoir pictures they are appropriate I'll find one and post it. Yes it was difficult but I did it.

I disagree if pictures of art statues are being flagged, I think it is inappropriate to post these pictures on the forums.

I also cant understand why you would want something so personal and private that you made for your FH all over the internet.

I'm in southern California and was wondering how to search for a good photographer for this...would love to do it if it's not overly expensive.

I've been thinking about doing this (probably this summer or next, I look way sexier with a tan). I think the most important thing is to do your research, For me personally, I would feel more comfortable with a stranger than with someone I knew. I would feel awkward posing sexy for someone who knows me. I would probably end up acting goofy the entire time. That's just me though.

I was going to do a more risque shoot with a friend of mine with my FH's motorcycle, but the more I thought about it, the more awkward I felt.

It was really fun for me and I think they turned out well. Most of mine are nsfw so I won't post any, but definitely drink lots of water the day before. Make sure to wear loose clothing including loose bras and underwear beforehand so you don't have any impressions on your skin. It helps to have music playing. And definitely go shopping for something new that you're excited about wearing for the shoot.

I had a blast doing mine. I was very lucky in the fact that my photographer is also one of my best friends, and a BM. She wanted to gift me the session, and then she helped me put together a photo book for DH, and got me a wicked discount on it. ($150 for a super nice book)

My recommendations:

Drink lots of water, Maybe have a mimosa or a glass of wine to help loosen you up. Have a few outfits and different jewelry for different shots. Pick music to play that will help you feel sexy or make you think of your FH.

Have fun with it!

Also, look for pose ideas online. My photographer had tons in mind, and I have a few myself. One thing that we did, I snuck one of his shirts out and used it for a couple poses.

I totally get it, MRSFG. I do my own amateur 'boudoir' pics too, usually with FH, he's got a stash of them in his phone. ( He takes a lot of work trips and likes portable pics). I've got some pics in my phone too

I think a boudoir shoot can be great ego booster, especially for girls that are more shy or perhaps don't love their body as much as they could ( and really who doesn't have body issues?). But ultimately, my opinion is unless you're going to hang that awesome, gorgeously hot pro pic with pride up in the bedroom (instead of closet. Why closet?) the boudoir shoot can be a waste of money. I think amateur is more spontaneous and fun especially with your partner. I don't advocate sexy selfies with a timer. That's kinda silly.

Generally, most guys would like to have their partner's sexy hot pic to carry about with them in their phone roll--for their eyes only of course. When they're away from home they'll really appreciate those pics. And amateur? Yes. From a poll...most guys prefer amateur sexy pics over pro. Especially pics they themselves took. Amateur sexy cam work makes way more money online than any professional media work in the same industry.

*tip: shooting upwards from a low angle at the subject usually produces better pics.

The LAST thing you want as a gift to your future spouse are crappy pictures taken by an amateur.

Yes, having your partner take pictures is fun, but that's not a boudoir shoot. That's just having fun with your partner.

The whole point is to have photos taken by a professional who will take the best, most flattering, pictures of you for your future spouse. Its a GIFT, not a "here, have a wank to this later" type of thing.

I don't know. I'm giving FH an album of the boudoir pictures that I had taken with a professional and I just know that I never could have taken this pictures by myself. All of the iphone editing apps in the world aren't going to make pictures I took in our house look as great as the pictures I had done. We are both teachers, the last thing I need is for his phone to get "lost" at school and those pictures wind up in the hands of my students.

Don't listen to me though, I wasted money by not framing a giant photo of my ass in our bedroom.
