Boudoir Shoot Tips!

Alexandra , on October 25, 2019 at 6:11 PM Posted in Hair and Makeup 0 7
Hello ladies! My boudoir shoot is a month away and I was wondering if anyone had any tips or tricks! My main concern is how I would avoid getting the little red bumps after shaving my legs. I thought about laser hair removal but I can’t do that with tattoos. Maybe nair? Thank you for any help!

I got my lingerie ready and am soo excited!! 😁

Definitely try Nair now if you've never used it to see how ur skin reacts and not right before your shoot in the event you have a reaction. Have fun with it!

I use mens shaving cream and a mens razor for my bikini line because they're made for delicate face skin and that helps tons! Also, I exfoliate first then shave then exfoliate again and shave again. Then lotion all the things I shaved! Hope it helps!

Make sure you shave atleast a day before. Right after shaving apply conditioner to yoir skin and let it soak in while you finish your shower. Save washing your body for the very last thing

    Hi,

If you are getting razor bumps after shaving it could be for a few different reasons. To combat the razor blade irritating your skin it’s important to prepare the skin.

    1) You should lightly exfoliate your body with a scrub the day before shaving.

**If I were you, I would also look into using a different razor. It maybe the blades are too close together, and too few of blades on the razor (which means shaving the same area multiple times irritating the skin). Have you ever tried Schick Intuition?

    2) After shaving you will need to help your skin heal and relax by applying a light layer of witch hazel /rose water/ aloe vera followed by a moisturizer.

    3) Repeat step 2 the day of the shoot.

    4) Your makeup artist can apply color correcting makeup application and foundation if its really bad. As well as the photographer can photoshop the images.

    I hope this helps!
