Boudoir shoot

Angel, on July 29, 2019 at 6:45 PM Posted in Etiquette and Advice 0 8
I have been pondering the thought of doing a boudoir shoot as a gift for my fiancé on the day of our wedding or after. I know that these shoots are a lot of money, so are they worth it? Is it weird to give him a half naked framed photo of me? Where would he even put it? I think it’s a fun idea, but I’m having a hard time justifying the cost of it.

There was a post earlier today from a bride who did a boudoir shoot and loved it!

I just did one on July 21st. I haven't gotten the pictures yet but the photo shoot was so fun and very empowering. 10 minutes into it I forgot I was half naked in the woods with the photographer and her assistants. She put up some sneak peeks but since mine was a surprise I havent seen them yet. I think my FH will be very surprised and love them. I highly recommend doing a Boudoir shoot at least once

I am planning to do one. Honestly more for me then him. And I plan on framing a tasteful black and white and hanging it in our bedroom. We met on match because I liked one of his pictures. It was of his roller hockey team winning the championship. I'm going to use his jersey as one of my outfits and most likely frame that picture for our bedroom.

It was worth it to me just to have these beautiful pictures of myself young and fit. I made a book out of the photos just to keep in the bedroom. I can’t wait to surprise my fiancé. But regardless of him yes I think it was worth it just for myself.

So worth it! He was floored! Didn’t think I would do something like it. I also felt incredibly sexy and empowered during the shoot! Do it!

So worth it!!! I'm terribly self-conscious & I swear it made me feel so good about myself. Most people who I've known to do them say they keep them in their bedroom, or in an album, private for just them and their significant other. The one I did was for a special event, all the ladies who bought tickets & attended did a ten minute shoot and got one photo each that the photog thought was the best one, with the option to buy more of the others. I'm thinking I'll frame the one I got & wrap it for FH to open privately by himself the day of our wedding

Thank everyone! There was a lot of helpful comments. I have really been struggling with body image lately, so maybe it would help.

Yes! Have them printed into a book instead of framing one. Then he can keep it in his drawer Smiley smile
