Bouquet and Toss Bouquet

Are you having both? I’m allergic to flowers and I don’t really care to have one, but I’m considering getting one bouquet to walk down with and also use the same one to toss. What are you all doing? I saw a bunch of DIY videos to make my own, but Amazon has some really nice ones.

It’s up to you! My mom always did fresh flowers, but I’m sure you could easily also do it with fake flowers.

If I wasn’t allergic I’d do fresh. I don’t want to risk sneezing and coughing everywhere lol that might not be good.

I’m not doing a toss. Keeping my bouquet to preserve it. Plus, when I was single I hated the bouquet toss/garter toss so I’m not putting my single friends through that. Just what I’m doing.

Etsy has some nice faux flower options. I have also had luck with getting pretty faux flower arrangements for the house at local craft stores, Micheals & Joanns. Lings also has an amazon shop, gorgeous but a little pricier. Good luck!

I found these already made at Michael's and so the larger one is taking like 3 and combining them.

My florist includes a toss bouquet for "free" (florists are expensive, so I'm sure they recoup the cost elsewhere lol). I've also had brides use one of their bridesmaids' bouquets to toss. If one of your bridesmaids wouldn't mind you using theirs or one of them is from farther away and won't be able to take their bouquet with them you could definitely go that route.

I've only seen the anniversary dance done once, but I LOVE it, even if you're still planning to do a bouquet toss. Instead, the winning couple could be asked what their "secret" to staying together so long was or their best marriage advice. We're planning to do that after all the "formal" parts of the reception (first dance, father/ daughter dance, etc.) as a way to get people on the dance floor. We're asking our DJ to have everyone stand around the dance floor once they get called off so they don't go back to their seats. If anyone who doesn't participate wants to watch, they'll have to get up and join the crowd as well. That way everyone's right there to start dancing afterwards.

I’m buying a nice big cascading bouquet for myself off Etsy that’s made of wood flowers and it’s expensive so certainly not tossing it. I would get another cheap one if I wanted to do a toss. Etsy has so many people who make bouquets for cheap. But we have almost no single people coming so it’s not worth doing the whole thing

I like that idea! I think it’s really neat and like you said it gives everyone the opportunity to get on the dance floor. Thanks a lot Paige!

I’ve tried Etsy, I just didn’t have luck with the colors I was looking for. Or if I did it wouldn’t be here in time. I don’t think I’ve ever heard of the wood flowers before though, sounds really nice. What color is it?

We didn’t do a bouquet toss. But that is a smart idea to have two.
