Bouquet Sizes? Is an 8" Round Bouquet too small for brides bouquet?

I can't help with a pic for reference, but I am doing a small bouquet. My florist initially wanted to change $150 for my bouquet and $30 each for small mixed greenery bridesmaid bouquets. I asked her if she could make mine a $50 bouquet by making it smaller. Not sure how small it will be, but I think as long as I have something and it's pretty, then size doesn't matter.

My bouquet is a 9" one. Here's my mom holding it for reference.

My MOHs is 7" and the other girls have 6" bouquets.

I bought a cascading bridal bouquet which was 12in across and 19in long and the BM ones were 6in across.

Thank you! No I ordered them from this amazing lady on Etsy. Her shop is called DressMyWedding. I paid $400 for bridal bouquet, 3 BM bouquets, 4 corsages, 4 bouts and shipping.

This is my bouquet next to a bridesmaid bouquet. Bridal bouquet is 10” and the bridesmaid is 8” They were ordered from etsy through LilyOfAngeles.

AHHH Perfect! Those are beautiful! Thank you so much - the side by side comparison really helps. So it looks like an 8" is significantly smaller but Given the over 50% cost savings if I go with the 8" instead of the 10" I think I'm okay with it!

Just make sure your attendants have a smaller bouquet or a single stem, and absolutely no one will think twice about it. It's less about the size (though if you have a BIG poofy ballgown, keep the scale of that in mind) and more about the proportion to everything else.

Are you open to diying? I spent about $110 on my bouquet and 5 BM bouquets. I believe I used more than double the amount of flowers as the BM bouquets. Also, enjoy my dog. 😂

Good point about proportions! I'm not having a bridal party (micro wedding) and my dress is a-line so I think I'll be just as happy with the smaller size. I was thinking about renting a larger bouquet of silks, but I'd rather do a smaller bouq that I can keep as a momento!

Flowers are gorgeous - you did an amazing job! I really love the purples. How much time did you invest? I'll be totally honest though, I'm working 60 hours a week so I'm trying to keep most DIY's to a bare minimum. Is your dog going to be in your wedding?! I was just looking for a doggy collar and leash haha.

I think the sizing should be fine! I was going to order HUGE, more expensive bouquets, and my sister/MOH told me to chill because I don't want to cover up my whole dress with an enormous armful of flowers. Besides it's cheaper to have it a little smaller anyway!

I went with a 9-10 inch bouquet for me, and 8" bouquets for the bridesmaids and MOH. We went with artificial silk bouquets from Etsy. If anyone is interested, we're getting 1 9-10" bride bouquet, 4 8" bridesmaids bouquets, 10 bouts, and 4 corsages for $340, the shop is Qfloralstudio. We haven't received the order yet, but I'm excited about it and would recommend them!
