I'm dreading the bouquet and garter toss. I just feel like they're kind of awkward and silly. I don't want everyone to see FH with his hands up my skirt. I'm afraid of throwing the bouquet wrong lol. However, it's something FH wants to do so I'm going with it. At what point in the night should this...

At what point in the night should this happen? Did you play a song when throwing the bouquet? I need song ideas! And I don't want Put a Ring On It by Beyonce! Thanks in Advance, ladies!

Haha I hate it when it does that!

But yes, good idea about facing the chair to the side, thanks.

At what point in the night did this all happen? Like in the middle of danicing or before that got started, or...?

Ours was in the middle of the evening. We had already opened the dance floor to guests, for probably 30-45 min, I would guess. We just went with what our DJ recommended.

I didn't do a toss, I did an anniversary dance where they countdown the years and the couple who was married the longest got the bouquet. My grandparents won, they loved it

Those are completely optional and you don't have to do it if you don't want to.

The last wedding I attended, they had every couple in the room slow dance. The DJ then asked who had been married for 6 months to leave the floor - then one year, then two years, etc.. Until it was narrowed down to the last couple (Married 67 years!) - and they received the bouquet, had a photo opp with the bride and groom, and shared advice to keep the love going 67 years down the road. :-)

For the GARTER, personally, I wore mine at my knee when it came time for it because I didn't want him to go higher in front of my friends and family! We played the Mission Impossible theme. He did a belly crawl across the room and cheesed it up - very fun!

@Alina Which Spice Girls song were you thinking about? I loved them when I was younger and I wanted to figure out a way to put them playing.

We used Bellydancer by Akon. Everyone seems to love it! I told my DJ to select an appropriate time when people were tired and wanted a break! We did it about half way through the night!
