Bouquet with blush wedding dress

Brianna, on July 25, 2017 at 8:48 PM Posted in Community Conversations 0 32

So I have finally scheduled a meeting with a florist for next week, and I really have no idea what I want for flowers. My dress is blush and ivory, and my colors are blush and dusty blue. What type of bouquet would look good with a blush dress, or if any of you have any examples of your bouquets with blush dresses???

Also, what should I expect in my first meeting with a florist?

I think pale pink flowers would look amazing. Something like this.

Oh I LOVE what @OGKathryn suggested. I think that would look beautiful.

Personally, I was very indecisive. I got ideas from pinterest and bought a couple of "trial" fake flowers and took pictures with material like my dress to decide what I liked. I would suggest maybe trying the same?

    I'd go blush and white.

My dress was blush with an ivory lace overlay. Our colors were navy and blush and we included blueberries in the bouquet to tie in my husband's suit color.

I'd be worried the berries would attract bugs and dye the dress.

Blueberries in a bouquet?? I would be concerned about the overwhelming need to eat them as I was walking down the aisle!

My colors are Marsala, dusty blue, and grey and I don't have many suggestions for the blush, however, Blue Thistle has been the PERFECT dusty blue color we have been looking for to tie in the color. Just a suggestion!

Sounds like the best route to go may be blush/light pink and ivory in my bouquet

I'm the MOB for the October wedding in my profile, but can tell you that my dress was blush - actually it was white silk shantung lined with pink taffeta. My veil was iridescent illusion, not white.

So I carried rubrum lilies, sort of like stargazers. I wanted those bright colors set against pink roses and carnations. I know, the horror of carnations. But that's what one used back in my day.

I actually asked my florist if the blueberries were edible. She said no haha. No bugs and no stains on my dress. They were the size of peppercorns, not the big blueberries you get at the grocery store. I hiked up a mountain in my gown though which already made it filthy. I wouldn't have cared if anything else ended up on it.

I am planning on a blush dress and want white flowers with lots of greenery.

I think I want some greenery in mine too. I just wasn't sure if I should try to have any blue in my bouquet and how that would look with a blush dress.

Sounds so beautiful! Lovely color scheme. I'd add some blue highlights in your flowers.

My dress is also blush. Here is a bouquet I saw at my venue that I loved and am building colors around!
