Boyfriend Paid for my family's hotel room

Hi, need some advice. We've planned to get married in 2 years and my family is going to meet his. He paid for our hotels even though i said he shouldn't. What can we do to, like, make it up to him? Like get a gift for him/ his family? My parents are the ones who feel weird about it. Like, they think he didn't have to do that and they're all embarrassed and bashful. Btw this is just 1 room we're talking about
