I'm feeling a bit sick to my stomach but not having any contractions and no sign of water breaking. Man I really wish we had gone to those childbirth classes. It's driving me nuts not knowing what is going on with my body.

I never had signs of labor... I just felt "Off" so I called my doctor and went to the hospital. When I got there I wasn't having contractions but they asked me to walk for 3 hours... 15 minutes in to our walk in the middle of the lobby of the hospital my water broke. If you are typically in tune with your body and can tell when things are happening then I say call the dr.

I can tell you down to the hour when I am ovulating. So I like to think I know mine well enough.

Honestly, the doctor gave you good advice. At this point, this a.m., you would know if you were in labor(contractions, water leaking/breaking). I suggest you suck on some ice chips and eat some saltines to settle your stomach. And then, call your mother for a second opinion. SHe is a nurse. She'll know what to do.

Still feeling off today. Trying to stay hydrated and eat lightly and rest as much as possible. DH is probably going to be furious b/c the dr's office called and asked if I wanted to come in at 2:30 so they could examin me and I said no. I don't drive anymore and I would hate for DH to leave work to take me in only to find that it's nothing. The dr didn't press me on it. Just said to keep my regular apt this week and call if there is pain or bleeding so I'm taking that as a sign they don't think anything is wrong. Plus, if I wait til tomorrow my regular dr. will be back and I'd feel much better going to him than someone else.

I agree with KitCat - if you're not feeling well, and don't like the suggestion that the relief dr gave you on the phone, go into your dr or the hospital and get checked out. It's always better to be safe and be on the side of caution. If it's nothing, then, after they check you out, you can go home.

For the life of me I can't figure out what I would have eaten that would make me feel like this. I had toast, fruit, and juice for breakfast. Mac n cheese and lemonade for lunch. toast and milk for dinner because by then I didn't feel well.

Again, go to your dr's appointment. If it's nothing, it's nothing. But you should still go. Also, try to avoid a lot of the acids. Juice and lemonade are very acidic and can cause an upset belly.

Probably a little of both Crystal. Going to stick with the bland for a little while.

Andrene this late in your pregnancy princess is unlikely to give you any rest. I don't thunk you're in labor based on everything you've said.

I would just follow your docs advice. Also keep us updated!

I wasn't nauseous during labor but boy was I nauseous all day every day for the first six months or so! Everyone is different so I would say if the dr. doesn't feel that there is anything wrong it probably isn't. Even though you think you didn't eat anything out of the ordinary - your body is undergoing some major changes right about now so anything can upset your stomach. I would eat lightly, stay hydrated and rest. If you feel or see anything out of the ordinary then get to the hospital asap but I doubt if anything is wrong.

If I had any doubts before they are gone now. This is definitely my child. My mom said I was just as difficult and they had to evict me at the end. So much for my hope of a 10 minute laborSmiley smile Well, at least I'll have the drugs to get me through.

LOL Buddy. She is enjoying this bit of payback. Apparently I was a difficult child.
