Breakfast/Lunch on your wedding day??

Marilyn, on January 6, 2013 at 11:15 PM Posted in Planning 0 11

So I am trying write down all my to-dos for the next 13 days, and I just thought what will we do for breakfast and lunch on the day of?

We are staying at the hotel after the rehearsal dinner, and it has no continental breakfast, and have to be up and on the road by 8 AM to get to the salon.

We then leave at 11 AM from the salon and go straight to the venue. Get dressed at 12, pictures at 1. Ceremony at 2 ect...

My girls and I will be starving! Any ideas? What did you/are you planning on doing?

Our ceremony is at 3P. We are taking some of the photos before the ceremony, so hair and make-up has to be done by 12P. FH and I are going to provide fruit platters, juice pastries and coffee.

We had someone grab us Arby's and we scarfed it down while we set up our venue. Later in the day someone else brought a fruit/cheese/cracker tray...all light colored foods like green grapes and apples, and Sprite/water for a drink. Just don't wanna chance spilling anything on your nice clean clothes!!

The hotel we stayed at had breakfast so I ate with the girls there but since you can't do that, maybe you could take something that won't go bad? Fruit, juice, grab some bagels or muffins from somewhere? Our venue had a lunch option. We did everything their. (hair, makeup, got dressed) so I paid to have sandwiches and chips for the girls. The guys played golf before so I think they stopped and got something on the way. Maybe check if your venue has a lunch option. If not, you could always take something. I've seen people order pizza before too.

Hmm maybe I will double check on our hotel...

However in worst case scenario, I think I will get fruit, and bagels maybe...or donuts and do this..or this (one of them)..

I just hope it is enough... :/ and now lunch.. hmmmm

The ceremony starts at 3 and luckily our venue is also a bed and breakfast! Since I'm staying there the night before also I will just eat breakfast there in the morning while getting ready.

My hair salon allowed us to bring food with us for our hair appts. I brought bagels, fruit, and juice. We had a 45 minute ride in the limo from my house to the ceremony site, so we ate lunch in the limo, I bought a couple of large sub sandwiches from Walmart and cut them into smaller pieces for us to all share.

DH met the guys for lunch at a Chinese buffet restaurant before heading up to the ceremony.

I plan to do Dunkin Donuts for breakfast (my entire BP are huge fans) and there's a deli in the area. I will order a platter or let the BP decide what they want and have it delivered in the afternoon.
