Brewery Rehearsal Dinner

LoweryForLife, on September 5, 2018 at 1:47 PM Posted in Parties and Events 0 13

What's everyone doing for their rehearsal dinner?

We weren't even going to do one, but our local brewery has a free room, so we thought why not? We're just going to have dinner and drinks and MAYBE a game or two, if its not too cheesy lol.

Thanks, all! Smiley smile

FIL's are throwing it at a winery near our venue. There will be dinner/drinks but no games, we are thanking our parents and bridal party with their SO's for everything they did and that will be our focus that night.

Hi Lauren! A rehearsal dinner at a brewery sounds so fun! I hope your guests like beer! Smiley smile My cousin had her rehearsal dinner at a local winery and it was a huge hit with guests! What games are you thinking of having? What are you planning to serve for dinner?

Oh our family are huge beer drinkers. Smiley smile No idea what games! I just thought of it for something to keep people entertained while not talking. Like those madlibs or something silly haha

Dinner will be just off of the brewery menu Smiley smile So its basically a lot of people going out to dinner together LOL

That sounds so fun! We have our venue for the whole weekend and we are traveling for out of state, so probably doing something simple like burgers and hot dogs or sandwiches and platters. Then hot chocolate and s’mores at the firepit

FH parents are hosting our rehearsal dinner in a museum! Its a local museum in their town talking about all of the local wildlife, plants, etc. The tables will actually be set up around the displays and we will have the place to ourselves so its really intimate and nice. We're having a caterer come in, and serving Italian food so I'm really excited about it!

We had our's in a room at a brewery as well! We were able to bring in our own food and then there was just a $200 minimum beer purchase. It worked perfectly!

I am looking for something like this too! Right now we are thinking about an Italian restaurant's private room.

You may not have time for games. Usually the rehearsal dinner is only about 2 hours long and it is the time when you and your FS stand up and thank each member of the wedding party and give them their gifts. Sometimes couples thank their parents and give them gifts too. Depending on how many people you have in your wedding party this could take a while. So first you eat and then you do the thank you speeches. Usually by this point people are tired and ready to go back to their room/home and get ready for the big day. I would just keep it low key.

ETA to add we bought out a local BBQ place next to the hotel we stayed at and had a casual BBQ dinner. It was a semi-DW with most people staying at the hotel for the weekend so we invited anyone who wanted to come to join us. I think we ended up having around 25 guests.

Oh we're not doing toasts. We are super laid back. We'll definitely thank our friends and family, but not publicly. That would freak everyone out haha. So its really just going to be a casual dinner with plenty of time to hang out and play games if we want. Smiley smile
