Bridal Expo - Viva Wyndham Honeymoon Voucher

Jocelyn, on June 5, 2021 at 8:05 PM Posted in Honeymoon 0 6
Ladies! My fiancé and I apparently won a 3 day 2 night all inclusive honeymoon to our choice of 5 locations. We had to sit through a cookware demo (which we did not purchase) and were gifted the voucher for a honeymoon. It is organized by Odenza Marketing. I understand we’ll be required to pay a refundable deposit, as well as taxes/fees. Has anyone received and taken the honeymoon? How was your experience?

Be very skeptical and cautious with anything you win from expos. Do not pay any money to get a prize.

I personally wouldn't entertain this. I feel like there is always a catch and some fine print that gets missed. A 2 night trip would not even be worth the hassle of traveling, IMO, unless it's within the radius of a couple hours drive.

What came of this? I've just been awarded the same prize.

I would not trust it. I attended an Expo in Orlando the other weekend. Now my inbox is full of emails from BHS USA saying I was selected for a VIP bundle that includes a 3 day 2 night trip. Thankfully I made a separate email account for wedding stuff and I can delete the account after the wedding.

    Hi Jocelyn,

Did you end up taking the honeymoon offer? I just received the same “gift” after attending a wedding expo last weekend. Would love to hear more about your experience before I decide to show up for the dinner to claim the gift next week.
    Thanks!Elizabeth

Cookware demo sent off a red flag for me since I think I heard of this scam before in the antiMLM subreddit or somewhere like that.

Reminds me of when I went to a student expo back in culinary school and someone from an MLM (one of the skin care/make up ones, I think Arbonne?) told me I won a free facial, but when she told me we were meeting at a coffee shop to do it, I got a little suspicious. I did some research and realized it was an MLM and predatory in nature and I knew she was going to try to sell me something and I also wasn't the only winner and she was contacting every woman that she gathered info on because my suitemate in student housing won too.
