Hey Brides ♥️ I’m going to a Bridal Expo with my best friend (maid of honor). We were wondering what you guys all wore and if there’s any food and champagne 🥂 🍾 lol if you’ve ever attended a bridal expo how was your experience?

I was a vendor at several bridal expos (in PA) It really all depends on the event sponsor/organizer. Any catering vendor worth their salt will have small samples of food for you to try. There are TONS of little takeaways and almost always entries at each vendor for some type of prize. 3 of the shows also had a bit of a scavenger hunt type deal - you had to get your
"wedding invitation" stamped by all the vendors and then hand it in for a small prize, and then be entered to win the grand prize.... most are honeymoon packages.

I suggest to dress for comfort, not to be styling. LOL Bring a pretty tote bag for all the cards, pamphlets and handouts you'll pick up/get. Bring a notebook or better yet, make sure your phone battery is 100% - you'll be taking lots of pictures of ideas and inspirations. Also, be prepared to get a load of emails and phone calls afterwards - it's why vendors pay to be a participant! (to get exposure and leads)

Most of all - have FUN!!

Loved it! And, so much so, I went to five last year. Great way to meet a lot of vendors. Due to COVID, many catering companies and bakers provided pre-boxed samples (I actually preferred this for the samples given by bakers, as I could sample and compare all the cakes with my fiancé when I got home). I had a free mimosa at the first, but some of the others had a cash bar.

I really didn’t dress up - just wore a cute top and long cardigan with ankle boots or a dress with a cropped jacket - as I wanted to be comfortable walking around and standing for a few hours (I don’t recall seeing any seating areas).

Many will give you a welcome bag/tote, but I still highly recommend bringing your own, as you’ll quickly fill them up with the amount of brochures and free samples you’ll pick up (A few even gave out free wedding planners and T-shirts).

My husband and I went to I believe a total of three wedding expos. I didn't go to any specifically for brides. All of the ones we went to were casual dress and had hors d'eurves, but no formal meal. Some had alcohol, some didn't. One of the expos was actually sponsored by a brewery near the venue, so we got beer samples! I'm not a beer drinker, but we got to keep our little sample pilsner glasses. Smiley smile

My FH and I have been to 2 wedding expos (he's such a good sport!) and they're really fun! We dressed casually - jeans and a cute top and boots for me. They had tons of food, cake, and drink samples, most of them cleverly packaged and sealed. I had a margarita in a bag...like a Capri Sun package that you punch a hole through to drink. Ditto to what the others said - charge up your phone, take an extra bag or a large purse to fit stuff in, and get ready for a fun-filled day!
