Yes, you may win something or get an extra discount on something. It won't hurt to try. I went to 2 of them so far.

In my experience they are a waste of time at any budget.

It can be fund to attend one but the benefits toward finding vendors will not be so good. The vendors may mostly have a higher cost since they cover marketing through these expos. Also, you end up getting emails from people who say they were glad you visited their booths, when you never met them. One of those was for boudoir sessions where you don't even know the photographer's reputation. All of this is a big reason you can set up a separate bridal email account.

They’re great for cake and food samples. That is usually the highlight. Don’t enter contests or raffles because they tend to be scams. You may find a last minute vendor or two. But go in with no expectations and have fun.


Set up a wedding email and phone number separate from your own personal ones. If you plan to share your information with vendors, print out those contacts on a sheet of labels.

They can be a lot of fun and a good way to assess what you like for your wedding, but if you have a lot of vendors already booked there isn't much of a point.

They can be really useful if you're going with a plan. We found our photo/video team there and they honored the bridal show specials well after the show date! Plus it's a great way to see what themes/treats you want for your wedding. I'd recommend doing it early in your vendor/engagement journey to get an idea of what you want. I'd also advise to not sign up for raffles or anything like that from individual vendors.
