Bridal Flip Flops for entire wedding... opinion?

So here is the deal. FH and I are the exact same height. That means no heels for me. I am having a heck of a time finding anything I like. I stumbled upon this bridal flip flop I like a lot. I just can't make the decision on if I should wear it all day. My dress is long so no one is really going to...

I just can't make the decision on if I should wear it all day. My dress is long so no one is really going to see my feet anyway but IDK what to do.

I might be biased because I HATE flip flops but I would suggest maybe a nice pair of flats? Wedding dresses are typically sooo expensive and so elegant and there are so many nice flat shoes out there. Even nice strappy sandals would work. But at the end of the day all that matters is that you're happy

Hmm. This is a hard one for me. I'm going barefoot on the beach for our ceremony then flip flops on the pool deck for the reception. But obviously venue plays a huge part in my decision. If your feet aren't visible and you don't mind the audible sound of flops, go for it! I feel your pain - my exH is 4" shorter than me. I played hell finding shoes for my first wedding that wouldn't have me towering over my ex! Good luck!

I loooove flip flops and I considered doing them for my shoes since my FH is a little shorter than me but I really didn't want to hear the flip flop sound as I walked down the aisle. Plus I wear flip flops every day, so I wanted something a little bit nicer. I ended up getting the shoes in the first picture. But I would suggest something more like that. I attached a couple other pictures of nice shoes that might be along the same lines, just without the flip flop sound. The ones you attached are pretty with the pearls.

I foyu want ot wear them, do it! Like the others said, it's your day! I woud be concerned about comfort with flip flops though. They aren't very supportive and you're going to be on your feet all day.

Check out TJ Maxx or Marshall's type stores. I have found a LOT of wedding-style T-strap sandals and thong sandals this year for under $35. I think more support is a better idea than flip flops. Your toes will hurt so bad since you have to use them (sounds weird, I know) more than normally to hold them on your feet, and keep yourself balanced.

I had a friend that wore a pair of flip-flops for her entire wedding. Granted there wasn't dancing and she was sitting the majority of the time, because she was 5 months pregnant. No one noticed the only reason I knew was because she showed me. I say go for it if you like them and they are comfy.

Go for it! My friend wore blue kate spade flats for her ceremony and changed into white rainbow flip flops for the reception.

I really only wanted to do these because I did not find a single flat sandal I liked. I did search and finally found a pair that is very simple but will match my dress. I will be able to wear them all night!

    No.

    1. The thwacking sound. No no no.

    2. To walk in flops, you have to curl your toes under and shuffle. It's just as unattractive as it sounds, and it looks bad in photos too. Not good for going down the aisle or really any other point where people will be looking at you.

    3. It's your wedding, not a kegger.

    4. Flops are actually terrible for your feet - aside from the fact they offer zero protection from grime, they damage your feet due to all that toe-curling and shuffling. My rule is that flops are for the house and the beach - beyond that, real shoes are key.

I am getting married in flip flops and have requested my bridesmaids wear flip flops as well.

I started to but decided I didn't want that flip flop sound as I walked down the isle. I had to get flats too because I'm about an inch taller than my FH already. LOL

I'd do it! He's taller than me, but not by much..and my dress is short. Ugh.

In my opinion.. If you can't see them you might as well be comfy! Smiley smile

Walk slowly in them, as you would walk down the aisle, and see how loud they are. Not all flip flops make that sound unless you're moving quickly. I've worn flip flops in a wedding--the bride wore them too--and it's the most comfortable I've ever felt in a wedding. If you want to do it, do it!
