Bridal hair-- what happens if trial goes bad?

I'm sure this has happened before. What happens when bridal hair trial goes bad; meaning stylist does not know how to style hair or work with your hair type?

I have wondered about this question myself. I have Black hair so finding a hairstylist in the city I'll be getting married is stressful. I'm still not 100% sure what I'm going to do but I know now I'll be getting it done before we leave out and pray to god nothing goes wrong. I thinking i will leave it pinned up and wrapped until the ceremony. Like I said not 100% sure.

You can do the trial before you sign any contract. That way if you really don't like them, you can find someone else.

Yes!!! Same exact feeling. I hope you find someone and your hair looks gorgeous. Let's just say I've had some bad experiences... sure I can do your hair.... then they have no clue what to do when they realize it's textured...

Oh girl that has happened to me once before. She had no idea what to do plus I wanted my ends trimmed Smiley angry Smiley cry She chopped half my hair and made it so uneven all I could do was I cried and tell her off. I went from mid-back to shoulder length.

Happy Planning and same to you.

    Good Luck

You should never sign a contract before getting a trial. That goes for every vendor including catering. If the trial is bad and the vendor is not able to provide what you want, you cross them off the list and get a trial with the next potential vendor. You don’t get a do over with a wedding so if the vendor can’t or won’t perform to your standards at the trial, you don’t book them. There are many more better vendors willing to work with you.

I personally had this happen... I left my trial literally in tears!!! What I wanted was NOT what I got and it looked awful. I was so worried about the wedding day I didn't want to go back. I called the salon and asked to have another trial with a different stylist because I was very unhappy with how it turned out. I went back for a 2nd trial, with the owner of the salon, and she was much more upfront/realistic with me and did a beautiful job. So if this happens I'd say ask for a second trial with a different stylist because you were unhappy with the results. I was not charged for my second trial, but that might depend. If you have valid concerns, I'm sure they wouldn't charge you. But if you're just like oh it isn't exactly the way I wanted to something kind of generic, they might charge again.
