Bridal Hair

Elizabeth, on November 18, 2019 at 11:29 AM Posted in Hair and Makeup 0 8

I am torn between wearing my hair down or half up! My hair is about collar bone length and I almost always wear it down in regular daily life. I have a semi large hair piece and had my trial, down loose waves with some hair on the side twisted back to hold the hair piece. I did really like it, but now I am wondering if half up would be better? I am not wearing a veil.

Have any other brides worn their hair down and regretted it? Was it in the way?

Bridal Hair 1 I wore mine half up half down. Didn’t feel it was in the way at all.

The only time I tie my hair up in everyday life is like in a messy bun when I’m trying to pull it out of my face lol. I never wear it up for an occasion or anything. So for me personally I really associate having my hair up with just having it pulled back out of the way sloppily at my desk at work or when I’m doing chores or something 😂
Having my hair partly down felt much more dressed up and much more “me” to me!

This is from my trial. It’s 8 months longer now. It’s my favorite hair style.

I wore mine down and didn't regret it because I tried it up and hated it on myself. You can always consider doing both and letting it down for the reception portion.

    Hey there, Elizabeth.

I would definitely encourage you to wear your hair whichever way you’re most comfortable.

You could always ask your hairstylist to try it half up half down on the day, and make a decision then as to whether you like it better than your trial.

Would you have time and budget to arrange another trial before your wedding day with the stylist? Or try do something yourself to get a feel for the look?

If you loved your trial look and your hair wasn't getting in the way (and you are used to and comfortable with having your hair down), I say keep it. You can always get a cute barrette to clip back extra hair if you find it in the way on your big day. I suspect you won't need it.

That makes sense, like your hair was just a "fancier" version of your normal look.

Very pretty! You have a great jawline to show off. I am worried with my hair pulled back it will show too much of my round face, although I'm probably overthinking it

Thanks, I’m sure it’ll be fine. But that’s also what your trial is good so you can decide what’s best!
