Yeah, I don't think the fiance would approve of a couple's shower. He's not one for that lol

We're taking the ole Bridal Shower route...

My BMs are throwing me a bridal shower. I actually asked FH if he’d be interested in a couples shower and he said no, so that was that!

My aunt offered to host a shower at her house so I just went with it from the beginning! My mom and my MOH are helping her host. It will be a traditional girls-only Sunday afternoon shower, hopefully in my aunt's beautiful gardens (inside if it rains). I can't wait! I'm currently working on a guest list to hand over to them along with addresses, and my MOH asked my feelings about a mimosa bar, but that's about all I know.

If we had gone the couple's shower route, I think we would have been looking at a much different kind of party.

My MOH and FMIL are super traditional so we are doing a traditional shower. It’s this Saturday!! Getting really excited about it, but I don’t know anything about the details- they’re keeping me in the dark! Lol

Im getting a girls only shower,
the place it’s being held is small and fits 50 so it will be very personal.
my fh will be having a bbq the same day which the guys will be at and we will probably crash their party after

Sticking with the traditional shower but FH and my dad plan to show up towards the end to thank everyone.

We are having a traditional but then my fiancé plans to come at the end to help open gifts. It’s kind of the best of both worlds!

I like this idea! I am having a traditional shower, mainly because my mom is hosting it and her place is small and a coed shower would be too big. Also, we both have divorced parents and I’d kind of like to minimize the amount of time they are all together, lol. But I’d love for my fiancé to be at the shower, and he kind of has FOMO, so I think he actually really wishes he could be at the shower! He seems very curious about it. Are you telling everyone your FH is going to come or is he, like, going to be a surprise guest? Is he literally just coming to open presents?

The MOG and I are throwing the shower for my youngest. It will be a traditional girls only event while my middle daughter is doing a co-Ed "I Do BBQ". I've never been to a co-Ed shower before but I imagine it I'll feel more like an engagement party but with gifts. I think she's going this way because she doesn't like to be the center of attention, whereas my youngest is more traditional by nature and an "old soul".

My bridesmaids and MIL hosted a couple's shower at my MIL's house. The theme was "Wine Country Picnic" since we got married in Sonoma, wine country. We still played the typical shower games and the guys actually got more into it than some of the girls. It was a lot of fun.

My mom and MOH are throwing me a bridal shower in PA (I live in FL now) and then FH cousins are throwing us a couples shower here in FL! We didn’t really decide, but I’m excited to get the best of both worlds!

I've been trying to decide as well, and I'm leaning more toward's a couples shower! I like the idea of my fiance being there to open gifts that are really for both of us, and we have a lot of couple friends I would like to be there as well. Also, in a lot of our couple friend groups, I don't know the girl as well as the guy anyway so it makes it a little less awkward as well.

My shower throwers and I discussed a couples shower. Then I realized I only wanted to pick and choose which guys came so I scratched that. Ladies only at another room in my venue. 60 on the list because my parents insisted thinking a 50% show rate.

I haven’t really thought if it would be a surprise or not yet! I think I will probably mention it at the shower to people when mingling? Yes, he will probably come like 15 min before we are going to open gifts (after the games) to chat and then open Smiley smile

    My shower is this Saturday!
My MOH, bridesmaids and my parents are hosting. It’s at an Italian restaurant.
I didn’t ask my FH what he’d prefer but I went with a women only shower (he was already planning his brother’s bachelor party for this weekend anyway).

My MIL is throwing a couple's shower. I told her I didn't want a traditional one because it's both of our big day and we both need to be there
