Bridal party and couple entrance dilemma

SarahM, on September 16, 2023 at 4:45 PM Posted in Planning 0 5

Hey everyone,

So I'm a bit torn for the wedding reception. One of our pairs of the bridal party are entering into close to the same song as my wife and I.

The song they are entering into is the actual song and the song we are entering into is a slight variation of the song. Same vocals but entirely different beat. We wanted to surprise everyone with our entrance, but now I'm getting the feeling our surprise will lose its entire effect because the songs are similar. Would you guys suggest we choose an entirely different entrance song or have the pair from the bridal party choose a different song even though they've pent time to practice their routine. Also, for context the wedding is about 2 weeks away so the notice is short. What are your thoughts?

In my experience, the whole wedding party has entered into one song and then the wedding couple entered into another. I feel like switching up the song from every bridal party pair will end up being quite a lot of song switches. In terms of practicing their routine, every wedding I’ve been to, we’ve just figured it out while waiting to be introduced.

I've never seen where different pairs walk into different songs. That being said I would have everyone in the bridal party walk into one song and you and your fiance walk into another. A different song for every pair is a lot.

I only very occasionally see the wedding party have a special entrance at all let alone a choreographed routine. Personally I’d streamline. Tne entire party to one song, with no performances, then you.

I am with the others. The only couple being celebrated is the couple getting married. I don’t know why the bridal party couples would even have a special entrance. You and your wife should be the only ones in the “spotlight.”

Do you mean each pair will have their "own" song to enter into your reception? That would take forever to get people into the reception at that rate.
