Bridal Party Meeting

This post has got some panties in a bunch! Lol.

@His #1Lady I don't see the the big deal with providing your bridal party with a binder with wedding information. I've been in several weddings in which I received packets/binders and thought it was a great resource. There is no right or wrong answer here....it's a matter of knowing your bridal party and doing what works best for your group! If you have the time and desire to put it together, I say go for it.

I will more than likely provide some sort of detailed packet to my bridal party as well!

I don't mind doing all the work at all. I've already finished typing everything. All I have to do is print it and hole punch it. What I don't have time for is people saying "I never heard that" or "you never said that". It's right there in black and white. I understand someone may lose it, and if they want me to I will be more than happy to email it to them as well

HIs #1 Lady, this seems super detailed and organized, so go for it! Like others stated if you know your bridal party doesn't use emails regularly then this may work well for you all. Keep us posted on how it worked out!

My 4 BMs live in 3 states and since I'm not doing showers/bach parties I'm pretty sure they'll first meet at the rehearsal dinner. Now I'm thinking we should do a wedding party get-together before that depending on when people arrive. I did send out a group email after I asked everyone just as an introduction/give out contact info thing.

I like the idea of the binder. I would recommend putting in some blank "notes" pages or a folder for things they may get later (like dress order receipts). Give the shirts whenever you want.

@blue Thanks so much for those suggestions. There are a couple of lines underneath each month of the calendar, but I probably should add some pages for notes if they want to take them. I bought the binders with pockets,, but maybe I'll buy something else for pockets.

I love it, i love organization! i would accept it head on if i were one of ur bridesmaids. just make extra copies just in case, i think you covered everything. and i think it will really help esp with them being able to be prepared for it all budget wise. i should of thought of that lol although i only have two BM

I have 6 girls total and they are too much. Great idea as far as what they will need to purchase on their own and budgeting. I had to text my girls the info and some either lost the text or just forgot but they are ALL good now. Relieved!

I LOVE this idea. It shows that you cared enough about each of them to put time into making this and with so many girls it will help keep you from being swamped with "when is the rehearsal dinner again" and "I have a question for Suzie, can I grab her number from you". Brilliant. There will always be people who think what you have decided to do is foolish and a waste of time but I am glad you have eleven ladies in your life that are excited and want to stand up with you. Plus as you said you already discussed budgets with each of them so none of the information in the binder is going to throw them off or surprise them.

Plus I love binders. If you put dividers in it can I join your wedding party?

@Lennox LOL convincing my FH to let me have the 11 I chose was a stretch. I figure my bridesmaids would expect these binders from me anyway. There will be no shock factor

Well you know your group the best so if they are into that I think your idea is great. If I did that with my girls they would look at me like are you for real? haha

Its your wedding and I think its very well organized.. our first meeting was in april and I gave small gifts to each bridemaids with a bag that had their name on it.. our second meeting is next month and we planning the bachelorette trip and they are buying their dresses. with the shirts I would wait personally but hey if you want to give them now go ahead..

It's great. We booked the venue which includes the caterer, and dj. I started on my diy projects. I'm scheduled to go dress shopping labor day weekend. What about you?

His #1 Lady, glad to know I am not the only one. I did a small binder for my girls. It included:

1. Our contact information (wedding email, home, work and cell phones)

2. The wedding date and time (they will be the first to know the location)

3. Hotel information

4. Appointment date for manicures and pedicures

5. Date and time for rehearsal dinner and attire requirements (it's in a church)

6. Dates for dress shopping

7. Information regarding the make-up artist and appointment trials

I let them know that I will provide information as we confirm.

Im done with wedding planning just waiting on the day.. im taking the save the date pics next weekend and mailing those in October.. the dress will be bought on October 26th im trying lose weight.. I got 110 invites from zazzle for $49 from groupon so invites are ready .. so im just relaxing to be honest...

Wow how long have you been engaged?

I didn't do a binder because it's not me and given my friends if they gave me a binder I might be a bit worried! However I did make a private bridesmaid board on fb with all the info they could need, a calendar, and reminders. To each their own ! I know for my BM the internet and a permanent online schedule was better but you know your friends best of all hope the meeting went well!

The meeting will be next Friday, so I'll make a follow up post afterwards
