Bridal party page on Wedding website?

AlmostMrsMillick, on October 26, 2016 at 11:30 AM Posted in Community Conversations 0 37

I am working on our wedding website so it is ready when we send out STDs. I'm using the weddingwire website tool and there is a page for your bridal party. Just for fun, how many of you highlighted your wedding party on your website?

    I didn't - seemed unnecessary

I did not, my sister did for her wedding a couple of years ago.

I'm so not there yet, but I LOVE reading about the bridal party on wedding websites. I really like knowing why they picked people to stand next to them, especially when they're heartfelt and meaningful. Skip the inside jokes and not as funny stories though.

I did. But I just put my a brief sentence about how I met them. I find those full paragraphs with inside jokes and sappy sentiments to be a little too much.

Their names are on there, but no bios or pics.

I'm undecided on that, if I do include it, it will just say how long we've known each other/how we met since I don't know how many people actually read all of it.

I'm a little torn. If I did it, I'd ask them to send me the photo they want to use. I'm torn on if I'd want them to write their own intro or I would introduce them a little, I've seen it done both ways.

We did! We included a picture of us with each person, their names, and how we know them - kind of a way of explaining why we chose them to stand up with us. I love when other people do this for their weddings because not only does it make the bridal party feel extra special, but it also allows guests to learn a little bit more about the party before the wedding.

I did! My BP (well the girls) were touched by what I had written about them. Included a pic of us (most of them to fit our friendship) and then a brief paragraph on how we met/how long we have been friends.

I did mine, but I asked each member first if it was ok.

I added MOH and Best-(Wo)man but technically it's only my sister and FH's sister. I also added profiles for an Honorable Mentions section which includes our "Chihuahua of Honor" and "House Sitter" with blurbs about our dog and cat who will only be in attendance at our wedding in spirit.

I like reading about them on my friend's wedding websites because then you get to learn a little about them before the wedding. I put mine on our wedding website with a brief description of how we know each other and then asked them each to share a fave memory of us together. It was really nice because they each brought up a different memory than what I would have thought so it was fun to relive it!

We just put the names. No need to give a life story that most people are not even going to read.

We kept it simple- headshot, name, title, and relation (i.e. Sister of the bride)

We did. We put a picture of them (actually only of the bridesmaids because H and groomsmen couldn't be bothered and eventually I was like f it) and a small blurb about how we became friends. I thought it was fun! I don't know if anyone looked at it though.
