Bridal Party seated or stand

My bridal party is mostly older people, is it okay to have them sit during the ceremony?

I would say that yes, it is ok for anyone who has a need to sit down, to sit down during the ceremony. This can be handled in a few different ways:

-Have the wedding party come in one member at the time. Have the individual, or individuals that need to sit down come at the very beginning or very end, and have a seat towards the front row, or at the back end of the wedding party.

-Have the wedding party come in and briefly all stand together until the officiant says that everyone may be seated. From here, the members of the wedding party that need to sit, may sit, or have everyone from both the bride and groom's wedding party sit next to them, or in the front row to maintain uniformity.

    I hope this helps!

It's definitely OK to have the wedding party sit instead of stand! My husband and I chose to have our wedding party seated in the front row (instead of standing up at the altar) at our ceremony. You could have them sit in chairs at the altar, or sit in the first row, or sit among the rest of the guests, or wherever works out best for your ceremony.

Perfectly 9k, and your attendants don't necessarily need to be elderly or infirm! My group sat after the officiant gave the "ok" for all to be seated. I did it mainly because we were outdoors, on the beach, which can be uncomfortable to stand on for long periods of time.

I prefer the look of it actually and am excited for the trend. It gives focus to the couple and their commitment ceremony.
