Bridal party

Faith, on March 5, 2021 at 2:43 PM Posted in Wedding Ceremony 0 18
It is okay not to have a bridal party? We were thinking about not having one, but I don’t want the ceremony to look weird or empty.

Totally fine to not have a bridal party! There are many people that decide not to.

Nope, not weird. We didn’t have one either. My mom & sister had their hair & makeup done with me so I still had that “getting ready” experience and photos. You could do the same with ladies in your family, or maybe your BFF.

Not weird at all! We're not having one (outside of a flower girl and ring bearer). They are totally optional, and neither of us wanted one, nor could find any practical reason why we needed one.

It's not weird at all! If you don't want one that's completely fine.

We're not having a wedding party. I think it will be lovely with all the focus on us surrounded by all our family and friends in the audience.

That's totally normal and won't look empty. Might actually save you lots of headaches and money lol.

No, we have a MOH and a best man. Which is more than enough for me!! I would have been fine not having that, but they are both family members. From my understanding having bridal party’s can add a lot of extra stress. To be perfectly honest, having a bridal party of one has stressed me out.

We’re only doing one of each!! My list of girls being in my bridal party was getting too big and stressing me out so we opted for MOH and BM only instead.

Perfectly fine! We selected not have to have a bridal party and preferred that our family and friends relax and enjoy the evening as special guests without any stress or “obligations”.

    It's not weird at all.
I attended a wedding where both the bride and the groom asked their own immediate family to stand by their side.
In another one both brides asked their siblings. If you do want some people to stand by your side, you can literally ask whoever you want: your besties, siblings, a mix, parents only, etc ...
