Bridal shop is frustrating

So I had a great experience picking out my dress. The assistant was attentive and made sure to pick styles she thought I would like. Upon ordering my dress they said it would be here in July. Along with the dress i ordered a matching veil and a layer of sparkly fabric to add to the dress. July comes and no phone call. So I call and they said it wasn't here yet. Dress finally came in 2 months later in september. No big deal. the wedding was still a year away. So the dress comes in and it doesnt fit. I weigh myself every day and didnt gain any weight. I literally couldn't breathe in it. They insinuate that I gained weight, not true but they said they could let it out. I ask about the veil and the fabric, they forgot to order it and said they would order it to be here in january for my first fitting. I just called and they told me nothing was on order and someone would call me back.



I have mentioned the veil and fabric 2 times and it still probably hasn't been ordered. There are 2 employees at this shop who are married, so I know they communicate.
Not to mention my bridesmaids ordered their dresses from this shop, and literally everyone's is too small. It's like once I bought the dress and they got my money all of the customer service went out the window. My wedding isnt for 8 months so I still have time, but I'm tired of them telling me a timeline and then they forget about things or just dont even mention it.

    I’ve heard that some bridal shops will order dresses too small because then you have to alter them 🙁 I might have the same problem - my dress is too big in the chest and supposedly .5 inches too small in the waist (but when I measure my waist it’s closer to 2-3 inches too small - I can’t come up with the same same measurements the shop did for the waist). I’m sorry you are having these issues! I would keep following up with them to be sure they order everything

    This is really frustrating, I'm sorry you've had to deal with this.

    Have you spoken with the manager/owner of the store about your poor experience so far?
