Hello,
Saturday I entered my name in a drawing to win a vacation getaway. They called me today and I was thrilled to hear I was chosen. He said we would need to sit through a cookware presentation before claiming our prize. Ok, no biggie. I can tell people no all day long. He also said we would have 3 destinations to choose from and then resorts to choose from at the destination. We would need to provide our own airfare but they would pay for the all-inclusive resort when we’re there. The alternate prizes are wedding bands from a jewelry store in California. Before I get my hopes up TOO much how likely is this going to work out for me? If I tell him no, will they still give the trip and will it be a successful trip? I don’t want to end up in an unsafe area.
The company is World Enterprise in McKinney, TX. They have a 2 negative reviews on BBB.

Thank you in advance for reading and any advice!

I know this is a year later, but did anyone that got their voucher go on their trip? i got the message my fiance and i won the trip to a choice of 3 destinations, plus wedding bands, plus campaign flutes. i figured wed have to pay airfare and taxes plus resort fees. (i go to vegas alot for ¨free¨). we are supposed to go tomorrow to the presentation so im trying to be as prepared as possible. also, did you have to put down a deposit on the spot?

We won wedding bands and the trip and engraved glasses. It was legit. We didn’t buy any pots or pans. Just had to sit through the presentation. The wedding bands were not the best quality. But we didn’t pay for them so I wasn’t mad. We chose the Bahamas vacation. It’s free if you don’t extend or get travel insurance but we chose to do both of those things. The engraved glasses we received are lovely.

Are there people who have gone on the vacation recently? The lady on the phone said we have to sit through the demo but we are not required to buy anything. We were offered a 3 day 2 night stay at a hotel of various locations in the US. She said it is not a time share...

I received a call after attending a bridal show in OK and it said I won a free trip. It doesn't mention the other gifts, just the trip. They originally called me over the weekend and said I needed to respond Saturday night by 9:30 PM CST to claim the prize, well it is now Tuesday and they are still trying to call me to say I won. The company is Better Health Solutions USA, which was an exhibitor at the show, so people were there and apparently I gave them my number, however I googled the company and it looks like they sell pots and pans, it is not like a travel agency or anything. I have a friend who attended the same show a few years ago and claimed to have gotten the same prize, but once she paid for the set of pots and pans they ordered, they never got information about the potential trip they supposedly won. Has anyone else dealt with/heard of Better Health Solutions USA?

My fiancé and I did the cookware presentation and we did get the free items that they mentioned we would receive. We did purchase the cookware( It was 11k that we financed) and we were given two trips for purchasing the cookware. One trip was a three day resort stay and another was a week. It's paying the taxes of course but we can take a couple trips for under $300. I don't think that's bad.

After seeing the cookware costing 11k, it seems best to avoid the event. That much money should not be spent on cookware for anyone except for gourmet cooks -- especially those making a living on cooking. It is not worth the risk of being convinced to buy any product like this. But I do get how some people are good at resisting the pressure to buy -- for them it might be a deal.
