Hi all!

I went to a bridal show a few months ago and registered my name and phone number. I got a call today from a company called NHI International saying I won 2 wedding bands, a 3/day 2/night trip to the Caribbean, and champagne flutes. All I have to do is go to a "bridal expo" at the Holiday Inn in my city.

Has anyone every encountered anything like this? I searched them online and they appear to be a real company, but their website is odd. Does anyone know if this is a scam?

Thanks!

After recieving a call from bridal department that we won a trip, run bands and customized champagne flutes my fiancé and I were a bit skeptical but heard them out. After finding out all we had to do was sit through a 1.5 hour presentation on pots/pans etc. and the location being so close we decided to go. Totally worth it! Presentation was shorter than expected and got right to the point. Presenter was straight forward and understanding that the other couples and ourselves were really only there for the prizes. Answered and questions we had and we left with our prizes in hand. Definitely worth it if you’re debating!

FINALLY received the e-mail with the trip. The actual trip is from a company called FunRewardsForYou.com. Has anyone actually gone on the trip? Did it all work out? It's quite a lot of money and honestly the name of this company sounds fishy AF lol. I do not want to give them my money until I hear that at least 1 person has been able to successfully go on the trip. Anyone?

Sorry for posting so much. As I research, even though they do show some pretty cheap rates for hotels, as I check each hotel's own, actual website, their rates are either the same or sometimes even a little cheaper...absolutely not worth it I'm seeing...thank goodness we only spent $15 to activate the voucher and did not actually fork out the hundreds of dollars to "hold" a vacation date/spot...truly seems like a scam after all, sadly. If it's from FunRewardsForYou.com, scam for sure.

You always have to read the fine print, especially if they email you saying you won. My email specified that it was a 'cooking show,' but the there's hidden fees and blackout dates to look out for.

I got the same call! I didn't go because it was the one where they wanted to display their products (in hopes we'd buy) so I just went on with my life and forgot about the call.

I received a text about this earlier this week, as well as a full email about it. I showed my fiancée and kinda rolled my eyes assuming it was a scam. I ended up registering and decided we’d see if we’d go or not. It was on a Sunday at noon that I signed up for. We decided to go. Everyone that came got every prize they were promised, on the spot (vouchers for trips and gift cards for the rest). Sales pitch was very low pressure. There were 6 couples there, 4 didn’t buy and us and another couple did. Their pots and pans seem amazing and TBH, I’ve probably spent that much on pots and pans over the last year with having to replace constantly. Obviously none of the prizes are free, but they are definitely discounted and worst case, we wasted an hour and a half of our lives and got cookware that has an amazing warranty.

I've gone! I attended, they try to sell you some pots and pans! Not a bad deal, the flutes are nice! Just don't buy anything and get your free stuff!

Girl it's a WHOLE scam! We recently went to a small wedding expo in VA and we only filled out our info for David's Bridal (because it's a known name). BIG MISTAKE! They basically sold our information to this Bridal Registry place. They sent me an email and test stating they we had been chosen and had won 2 champagne flutes, a honeymoon accommodation, and a $600 gift card for wedding bands. Upon hearing this, I was immediately intrigued. But something told me to dig some investigation first. That's when I came across similar stories. I texted the number back and asked if this was some type of timeshare or demo that we have to sit through. The person became nasty starting that she didnt have time to answer my nonsense questions and that someone much more deserving could take our place. Crazy asf!
