So, I only have 2 bridesmaids and the closest one lives more than 3 hours away. The other lives 16 hours away. I grew up in Michigan and spent time in the military but live in Texas now, so my family/friends are spread all over and the ones I’d invite to a bachelorette party can’t come. My bridesmaids are trying to convince me to do both a bachelorette party and a bridal shower, but separate people are planning each. They’ve discussed it with me and they want to do the same things in the same month for both. I told them to try to just do one, but my bridesmaids seem to think I really need a bachelorette party, but I feel like it’s a waste of money for 4 people (including me) to do the same thing we’ll be doing again.
Should I stick to one, or just let them throw me both even though I’m not comfortable with it?
