Bridal Shower and Postponing

I am curious what other brides are doing that have had to postpone due to COVID. My fiancé and I are having a minimony in December of this year and have postponed our large wedding to December of next year. I have family members asking me when my shower is going to be. I was thinking I want to postpone the shower as well to next year when we can hopefully have it in person even though we are technically going to already be married then. What is everyone else doing?

We are doing the same! We are having a minimony in October of this year and our big wedding is March of next year. I'm thinking maybe January /February for the bridal shower but of course that depends on COVID.

My friend postponed her wedding but is still getting married on her original date. I was planning her shower, and I pushed it back to next year to align with her big celebration.

I wanted the shower to be before the wedding, not just the reception, but I don't think there's anything wrong with doing it that way. My shower was a combination of a drive through and a Zoom party. It was more fun than it sounds and it was nice to see people before the wedding. Also, a lot of people seemed to be pretty excited to "socialize" for the first time in a while.

Our original date is 10/10. I wanted Bridal Shower on 08/08, Bachelorette on Labor Day weekend. Due to Covid, no one has been planning since no one is comfortable so we postponed until further notice. LOL. To be honest, I am too afraid to catch Covid as well. No matter how big or small a party is, if one person catches it, everyone else most likely will too. I work in a hospital.
