Bridal Shower Arrival Time

Bride107, on August 13, 2018 at 9:26 AM Posted in Community Conversations 0 14

For the brides who had their shower already (or brides who have showers coming up) What time did you arrive to your shower? In the past I've been to a shower where the bride was already there and another where the bride made an "entrance"

What time did you arrive? Arriving before the guests/start time on the invite, or after it has already begun?

My shower is from 1-4pm and I'm leaning towards just being there at 1pm just to get things started.

what/will you do for your shower?

I arrived 20 minutes after the start of the shower. It was perfect it gave my guests time to say hello to each other and get settled in.

I got there around 15-20 minutes after it started. I wasn’t intentionally late, but I got stuck in traffic on my way there.
One or two guests arrived after me, but mostly everyone was there at that point. I would’ve felt bad being any later than that.

Great, I think 15-20 mins is a good time to enter and greet everyone. I know the time flies by, so I would like for it to start on time

Right, I think it is rude to have people waiting, I think 15-20 mins is doable. thanks

I’ll be there early while they set up (I’m sure I’ll help with what they need) as I am the one “renting” the church. I’m the only one who attends the church and it’s free for me and it wouldn’t be for them.

Right considering those circumstances I get why you would be there early.

My mom wants me to arrive when the guests arrive but I thought I needed to be there early. But I'm also late to everything so if I was 15-20 minutes late my guests would assume I'm 'on time'.

I'd like to arrive early because I'd love to help out any way I can but FH cousins are hosting and we know nothing about the shower! Part of me would feel funny arriving first but I definitely don't want to make an "entrance."

My shower was also 1-4 and we got there around 10am to finish prepping. Guests were arriving up to about 1:30, a few did arrive a bit later but my bridesmaids started everything around 1:45. My mom and bridesmaids were there early with me, my future sister and mother-in-law came about an hour early, his aunt arrived about 30 minutes early in case we needed help as well.

So my shower is on 09/08 at 11:30 AM but... I don't see where I could be "late". I am traveling to Maine from Georgia and am staying at my grandmothers (where the shower is) and so I will be there SUPER early lol. I do not think that my MOH will let me help though she has been super secretive about everything. I also know my family and they will all be there like 20 minutes early anyways.

We had a couple's shower and got there about an hour before to help out where needed. We really didn't have to do much since my 3 BMs and MIL took care of everything but we wanted to be helpful plus we wanted to be there to greet the guests as they arrived.

My shower started at 12p, I was there around 11 to help my mom and sister set up. My sister insisted on doing things on their own so she didn’t ask my BP for help 😑 But I was ok with helping! I also helped clean up.
It was good for me to be there early, before people started showing up, because then I was there to greet almost everyone as they came in which was helpful because I feel like I got almost no face to face time other than that with so many people who were there 😩
