We’re doing cupcakes at the bridal shower! It just seemed easier to manage then cutting up another cake. But I know a lot of people who just had an assortment of desserts with no cake.

Every bridal shower I've been to has had a cake or cupcakes. Most showers have some sort of dessert whether it's cake or not.

I had mine this past weekend, there was a beautiful cake there (thanks mom!). But I think it's really up to whether you all like cake or not, you don't have to have cake. It can be any dessert.

My MOH is doing a three layer cake surrounded by cupcakes! She likes the look of the cake being a focal point.

It doesn't have to be cake, but you need to have food. A full meal isn't necessary, but a dessert and possibly snacks.

I don’t think you need a cake but I would do some sort of dessert/sweet treat. The last one I went to had cake pops!

We did not. My shower was at a tea house so we did petit fours and scones.

I dont think its required. However we are going cake and cake pops and I am thinking of making cookies for those who dont do cake
