Bridal Shower Care Package

ashleigh, on January 2, 2018 at 3:12 PM Posted in Parties and Events 0 12

I am the MOH for an out of state bride. Her wedding was set very shortly after the engagement and with her living out of state, she has opted not to have a Bridal Shower. She was very involved in my wedding and Bridal Shower and I still want to recognize this for and was going to send a Bridal Shower Care Package. I couldn't find many ideas for this elsewhere, what kind of things would you include?

If she doesn't want a bridal shower she probably doesn't want gifts. I agree a spa package or an experience of some sort. Maybe take her to the spa the week of her wedding, pay to get her nails done or something to pamper her since you are her MOH. She definitely doesn't need gifts but these last minute details are a sweet gesture.

My friend sent me a little package after I got engaged (more an engagement package rather than bridal shower which I also asked not to have). It held a mug and a tshirt that said "Bride", a small bottle of rose, a DVD of the movie Bridesmaids, and a card. I loved it and thought it was so sweet.

Is she registering for gifts? If so, I'd pick something nice from the registry. I've never really heard of a bridal shower care package, what kinds of things do you imagine it would include?

Its not that she doesn't want one, its that all of her friends and family are out of state and there isn't much time to coordinate a trip before her wedding since she has a short engagement. Its not really about the gifts though, its about capturing the fun moments of your bridal shower. For example, I am thinking of including a mini bottle of champagne.

A friend and I couldn’t make it to our BFF’s bridal shower, so we sent an embroidered button-up for her to wear getting ready, a Mrs. lastname wired hanger, and cute Mrs undies for her wedding day. So a collection of cute things for her to wear/use the day of might be a good idea.

I think doing something nice like this for your friend would be cute. maybe make it more of just a bride care package and include some cute "bride" stuff, like a shirt, or a cute mug or cup, a gift card or certificate for coffee or a spa day or mani pedi and a cute card or something? maybe you can get the bridesmaids/family involved and all pitch in some $$ for it, so it feels like the shower? either way i think this is a cute idea to honor your friend and bride.

Ok but if she's not having a shower, what "fun moments" are really there to capture? I would say a wedding day survival kit is probably more appropriate, if you're wishing to put some sort of goodies basket together for her. If you google that, a million lists will pop up, but things like band-aids, a tide pen, safety pins, bobby pins, breath mints, nail file, clear nail polish, etc... You can also do the personalized hanger, a bride robe, a sexy thong, etc... as @starsinwaves suggested.

I think a cute care package would make her smile. Neat “bride” goodies like embroidered robe or lingerie, or a spa weekend would be nice.

I think this is super sweet, and a few small gifts you'd give at a shower (like the stuff w her new last name others have mentioned) as well as some relaxing stuff (bath bombs, candles, wine, etc.) would be perfect!

A registry item (if she has one) or a spa package like suggested sounds amazing.

I am also opting not to have a bridal shower and one of my friends sent me a little package of some goodies like champagne, a mug etc. It was really sweet that she thought of me!

I agree with Mrs. Fall Bride too that a wedding-day survival kit would be both cute and helpful. You can either DIY one or go to https://box-ish.com and order an already-curated box.
