Bridal shower dress

I’m having my bridal shower in late April and I’m from Pennsylvania only saying for those who don’t know PA we can either have 2 feet of snow at the point or it can be a beautiful spring day lol) but I’ve been looking at dresses and my sister had pointed out this beautiful white dress to wear and I find it awkward to wear white to your bridal shower as well. I’m curious what you guys think. Is it right or wrong to wear a white dress to your shower or if anyone has any ideas on what type of dress to wear for that time of the year and where to find some nice ones for a cheaper price.

I think it’s fine to wear white if you want but you also don’t have to. I wore a pink floral maxi dress. My shower was 3/30 or this year, in NJ, so similar situation to you! We lucked out and that day ended up being the first gorgeous spring day of the year....... like 70s and sunny, it was perfect. But the day before and the day after were 50s and raining so it was just really lucky for us and I totally get your concern lol. Whatever you decide to wear make sure you have a sweater to go with it in case :p

Honestly, I don't think there's a problem with wearing white to the bridal shower as well. One of my friends wore a simple knee length dress to hers and it looked nice.

However, if you're not comfortable standing out in white or feel weird about it, then try scaling things back. Maybe instead of a white dress, pick out a dress that has white as like a secondary color, or if it's not super fancy, then try a white shirt and jeans. Or if wearing white altogether stresses you out, then go for a nice pastel color. Either way, it's your day, and all of the people there are there for you

I’m in PA and know exactly what you mean! I had my bridal shower at the end of October and wore a white dressy top and purple pants. You could possibly do something similar, so it’s not totally white. My sister who threw the shower also had everyone wear a shade of purple as it is one of the wedding colors and my favorite color

I wore a burgundy lace dress to mine! You don't have to wear white - wear whatever color makes you comfortable!

Most brides actually wear white to most if not all pre wedding events. I was now like most brides and this is what I wore to my wedding shower

I am wearing white to both of my bridal showers! I think that is fairly common. I have a similair timed bridal shower where I don't know what the weather is. I am planning on trying to find something that transitions well from cold to hot. Maybe just something that looks good with a jacket or sweater as well.
