Bridal Shower During Pandemic

Hi Everyone!! Due to covid, my fiancé and I opted to do a small wedding ceremony with no reception. We let go of our wedding party (all funds were returned). Since there’s no longer a wedding party, I assumed there would be no bridal shower, since the bridal party was planning that. However, my mom wants to go ahead a throw me one. Do you guys have any ideas on how she could do it during this pandemic? She was thinking of doing a car parade and having games and prizes for those who have white cars, or the first car that comes, etc. She’s just seeking ideas and i thought someone here would be a great help. Thanks!

That’s a great idea! She could even do a zoom one where you open gifts in front of the guests

Zoom is a good idea or something I have considered for a bridal luncheon is to have just a small handful of friends that are the closest to me attend the house and then other virtually? Personally I think the drive through is a little more personable as you can at least see their faces.

Hi there! I just helped throw a shower last weekend for one of my girlfriends who moved her wedding up and massively downsized. Depending on your states guidelines and comfortability of people, people will show up! We’re in Ohio and hosted at the home of my friends MIL. There were about 30 people there and everyone seemed comfortable and happy to be there. I love the idea of a drive thru shower though too!

Bottom line - DO IT! Have yourself a shower. You deserve all the bride things.

I like the drive thru shower or the zoom idea. I must say that Covid has people being super creative. I'm going to a parking garage shower this weekend.
Yes you read right. The MOB secured her work buildings parking garage for the party everyone will be in their cars or right outside and they will have music, they even gave us food options and they have her lil brother and his hockey team wearing mask on skates and dropping them pre-packaged food packages off to your car. I am excited for this and think they have really went the extra mile for this shower.

That's so sweet of your mom! You could definitely do a drive-thru or zoom bridal shower!
