Bridal Shower Favors

What is the favor?

We are deciding between these glass coasters or a jar with little candies in it.

For coasters, I would not do anything personalized with her name or shower/wedding date. People aren't going to use them in their home if they have that. If you want to do coasters, do generic "love" quotes or designs or something but nothing personalized to the bride.

The jar is less of an issue because really the "candy" is the item the guests would really want. However because I hate personalized favors, I'd still opt to keep them generic.

While you might think a personalized item is a nice keepsake/memory, they very often just get left behind or thrown away because people don't typically use items with other people's names on them.

Any wrapping, labels or tags that you use for the favors can certainly be personalized though With that I would use "Allison's Bridal Shower" and the date.

We usually just recommend "Allison's Bridal Shower" and then the date. It's also nice to add something like "Thanks for helping make Alison's shower extra special!" Or "The Best is Yet to Come." Let me know if we can help out further.

Thanks to this thread I talked my mom into not personalizing the champagne flutes with my name or a date, but we’ll still have thank you tags with that info. So which date should I use? The shower or wedding date?
