Bridal Shower- Food

B Anonymous, on June 9, 2019 at 10:51 PM Posted in Parties and Events 0 13
I am hosting a casual bridal shower and I keep worrying there won’t be enough food selection. Please help! I will order a croissant tray, fruit tray, vegetable tray, and a cheese, meat and crackers tray. For the desserts, there will be 2 cakes, chocolate truffles, macarons and heart shaped Rice Krispie treats and the favors will be a custom sugar cookie. If I’m being crazy and that’s plenty, let me know and if it’s not enough please leave suggestions for more options! Thank you 😘

Since it's a casual shower, I think that's plenty of good variety! You're good as long as it's at a non-meal time!

That sounds yummy! I know there’s a meat tray but as a high-protein gal I would some deviled eggs if at brunch time. Otherwise, seems like plenty of food!

Depending on how many people you are having I would suggest maybe adding some type of eggs and bacon or sausage or pancakes. Something that’s a little more filling than fruit and pastries.

It looks like a good variety - but I second Pirate & 60s Bride - devilled eggs are amazing and always a good addition

Depending on how large the party is, that sounds like a great spread! I might throw in some deviled eggs, potato or macaroni salad, or spinach dip just for a little extra. I always rather have too much than not enough!

It depends how many people are attending and the timing of the shower. If it’s over a meal time like breakfast or lunch, I’d add a little something extra (finger sandwich platter for lunch maybe, or mini quiches at breakfast) to have something a little more substantial. If it’s mid afternoon between mealtimes (like 2-4pm) I wouldn’t worry too much as that just a snack time and people won’t be expecting anything big or substantial.

Sounds yummy! I love finger foods and I think that is the norm and to be expected at a bridal shower. It depends on the time of day and the expectations of guests. You've got a good start. I too worry that my guests wont have enough food selection and I personally am a "foodie" and LOVE to eat, so I would rather have more than not enough because everything will eventually get eaten lol. I would suggest having about 6 different apps for each person to choose from, and you can add options with a little more substance, such as mini quiches, frittatas, meatballs, boneless wings, pinwheels/finger sandwiches, bruschetta, bacon wrapped dates, pigs in a blanket or mini tacos. bon appetit!

This sounds like plenty, then (as long as your quantities are good)!

I think the variety is good but just make sure you have plenty for 43 people. I would expect most guests to have at least 2 croissant sandwiches depending on the sandwich size.

How many people are coming and what time is the shower at? Maybe a large salad of some kind too, and some mini sandwiches?
