I'm not a big game person (and my mother knew that) so she just did two that you fill out about the bride and the bride answers in advance. It was fun & didn't last too long!

We played like a newlywed game where my girls I guess had previously nabbed my fiancé for a few hours, asked him a bunch of questions and recorded his answers. Then on shower day, they asked me the same questions and compared answers. It was a HUGE hit. Though I suppose required a bit of tech savvy, haha!
He came through toward the end of the shower and we did a quick version of the shoe game too (tho...not with shoes).
And, ALWAYS in my family, there is GIFT BINGO to make present opening more exciting and interactive (everyone gets a bingo board with traditional shower registry items and marks off what gets opened!)

Also, not from my shower, but I once attended a shower where we played a game centered around a Day Of Emergency Kit, like a “who is most prepared to help the bride?” — the hosts had a list of common ‘bride emergency’ items (ie deodorant, sewing kit, shout wipes) and whoever has & found that item in their purse first won the round. That one has always been memorable to me as it was so unique and entertaining

We did just a couple of games that were very fun and interactive specially for a small group.
    - how well do you know the bride
    - he said, she said

    there’s one more that I can’t remember! 🙈

I second gift bingo! We did it for my shower kept everyone entertained.

My mom also did how old is the bride with various pictures of me through the years. She even had one of her pregnant 9 days before I was born.

Agree with gift bingo -- especially if you have concerns that people might get "bored" during opening (that seems to be a fairly common bride concern on this forum...). It helps keep people engaged. We had prizes for first bingo and then blackout. Also, for a variation on "how old is the bride in the photo," because daughter had know her BM's anywhere from since she was born until about 8-10 years before the wedding, all the photos we used had her and at least one of her BM's in the photo. Her BM's live all over the country and only two could be here for the shower. Having them in the pictures from throughout her life was another way to have all of them "with us" at the shower. Bridal Bingo was the only thing that was fun. I hate games at showers and hate being forced to participate so I like ones like bridal bingo that actually encourage you to be engaged in the gift opening which is the whole point of a shower and doesn't take up extra time.

I think games work ok if you are having a small shower (10-15 people). Any more than that and it's just chaos.
