Bridal shower ideas for smaller destination wedding

15-20 is not a small bridal shower at all. The host or hosts would be responsible for planning. Being that it's a destination wedding, personally I'd skip any pre-wedding gift giving events, though.

If it's destination for everyone including you and your families, it's because everyone involved are already incurring many additional costs, including transportation and accommodations and possibly having to sacrifice vacation time or paid days off as well.

Definitely still do a shower if that’s what you want. It sounds like your bridesmaids want to throw you the shower, so obviously they’re not worried about added cost. If any of your guests can’t afford the shower or the wedding or can’t take the time off, then obviously they’ll decline one or both.


In terms of ideas, you could do a brunch or a ladies’ tea. Just treat it like a normal Sunday brunch, just with a little larger group than normal! And 15-20 guests should still be enough to play some of the shower games.

I think 15-20 people is enough for a shower and the typical shower games. Don't say wedding or bride. Bridal shower bingo. Could just all sit around and have some drinks and food.
