Bridal shower location?!

Jackie, on March 21, 2018 at 7:20 AM Posted in New Jersey Planning 0 10
Hello ! I need some location ideas for my bridal shower. I’m located by the Jersey shore but am nervous about having it during the summer by the beach due to the horrible traffic and parking. So I am looking for venue ideas in central NJ (ocean, Monmouth, & maybe middlesex co.). I also need to keep the price down. I’m expecting 30-40 people.. I’m even open to unique ideas. Ideally, the venue has a private room, price is reasonable, BYOB, and the food is good! Thanks !

Your shower planning should be someone other than yourself. Your MOH, BMs, FMIL, Your Mom...etc. I am not included in any of the planning of mine. Just confirmed the date was okay and that’s it.

Who's planning it? My mom and sister are planning mine and asked for all of these details to make sure I was happy with everything. I would discuss it with them, if you haven't already!

We're doing mine at the Ritz-Carlton, in one of their ballrooms. It's a more formal setting, but you could easily do a bridal shower at a restaurant or even at home.

Have you looked at the Spring Lake Manor? I have been to a few showers there and it was lovely. There are a bunch of restaurants in Manasquan and Point Pleasant. Let me know if those are your areas I can send you some info, I am from Point Pleasant.

2 of my four bridesmaids live across the country unfortunately and one other lives in another state. I actually want to be involved. I’ve been to too many showers where it was a disaster because it was planned with no input on what the bride wants.

I’m from Point too! We are thinking of avoiding down here because of the traffic but I’ll definitely take the information, it can never hurt!

My mother, 1 bridesmaid, and my future mother in law. I’m trying to be as involved as possible, that’s just me.

Would you consider doing it in May before its crazy season down there? I'm getting married next September and my girls already know I don't want it in the summer because of it being busy and everyone usually being busy. Also I hate from my own personal experience when people have things over the summer.

We were thinking of May but didn’t know if it would be too far ahead of our October wedding. May would avoid the craziness.

I don't think so. It also gives you time to relax before your wedding for a few months. It's your wedding you do what is best for you!
