Bridal shower registry?

Generally (I think) people use the wedding registry to buy gifts for the bridal shower.

Since you're having a bridal shower, I would recommend more gifts in a lower price range (<$50) for people who will be coming to both your shower and your wedding.

Many brides make one registry that serves both the shower and the wedding. If you include a wide range of prices, shower guests typically choose less expensive items. Wedding guests choose more expensive items or give cash.

Sometimes a small group of guests make a joint purchase and gift.

If someone is throwing you a shower, it's a good idea to make one, because you can pick out the gifts you want. Some people do it for just their wedding, so if you don't have a shower you could still do one. You just might find more people at the wedding will give cash for gifts. We used it as an opportunity to upgrade all of our home stuff. We did a lot of kitchen stuff (plates, silverware, pots and pans, blender, toaster, etc), towels and sheets. If you have stuff you want to get for your home, it's definitely worth doing.

I agree with everyone, just start your wedding registry early. I ended up getting a lot of kitchen things for my shower.
