I'd say 2 weeks prior is plenty. Keep in mind how early you need to know the RSVP numbers. If it's at a restaurant or catering event space, ask them when they need the numbers by and give yourself a week before that to chase people who haven't responded.

It definitely depends on where it'll be hosted and how much time to host needs to prepare! Where will yours be?

We are having it at a restaurant they only need 4 days advance notice so we are going to give it a week in a half before.

My bridal shower was June 24th and the RSVP date was June 1st I believe. Obviously people still RSVP after so my BM's wanted to build in wiggle room before ordering food.

Perfect! That gives your guests a little wiggle room if they miss the RSVP date by a day or two! Enjoy!
