Bridal Shower Saturday or Sunday

Sam, on March 17, 2021 at 2:39 PM Posted in Parties and Events 1 22

Hi all!
Just out of curiosity who is having their bridal shower on a Saturday and whose having one on a Sunday? I really didn't care on which day. Based on my venue they only had one Sunday left this August, so a Sunday bridal shower it is for me! Smiley smile

Either day is fine. It depends on your availability and guests can schedule around that.

Mine will be on a Saturday at my house. (Mom and sister(MoH) are hosting, but they live in different cities and my place is the most central location for all guests.) I'm on the worship band at my church, so Sunday doesn't work for me.

We didn’t care either way! It just turned out that the venue we chose only had a Sunday available.

We are doing a Jack and Jill and it's going to be more of a party style, so Saturday. But I think almost all bridal showers I've been to in the past have been on Sundays, now that I think about it! Except for one, my FH's sister had her bridal shower the day before Easter because she lived out of state at the time and she was coming in for Easter.

That sounds like the perfect plan for you! Yes a Sunday most definitely wouldn’t work for you.

How fun! The only guys we are having at the shower is the groomsmen and my dad. We would have loved to include all of our wedding guy guests attend but for our budgets sake we can’t. I really like the idea of having a Jack and Jill Shower!

No worries at all. We originally weren't going to have one then had a change of heart. Bridal showers are not for everyone. They are extra costs, planning and simply put some people don’t really need anything.

I don't think it much matters which day you have. My bridal shower was on a Sunday, but my sister-in-law's was on a Saturday. Mine was at a restaurant and the only day they would allow my mom to rent the space was on a Sunday. My sister-in-law's was in a large meeting room in at my family's church so it had to be on Saturday because the space was used for Bible school on Sunday.

I agree! We didn’t really care it just ended up that the only day our space was available was on a Sunday. With so many COVID brides from last year SO much was already booked! We wanted our shower sometime this August and the only weekend date available in August was Sunday the 22nd. It made it easy for us!

Both of mine were/are Sundays. I'm not sure why this is, but all of the showers I've ever been invited to have been Sundays.

Now that I think about it almost all of the showers I’ve been to were on Sunday’s. A few Saturday’s. I think it’s because Saturday’s can be filled with personal running around.
    Kids sports/activities/shopping/family time etc.

Either Saturday or Sunday would work out well 😊 I am planning for a Saturday one just because most of my party, including me have church Sunday 🌷

I didn’t care which day, as the bride (or if I were a guest), but my shower is on a Saturday because that happened to be the date that worked.

Showers happen any time folks are not working. I had friends in places 3-4 hours from each other throw multiple small showers. Mine were a Monday, lot of restaurant, Tourist industry, or medical people. Next on Labor Day Monday. And Mid Sept on a Friday teacher training day with closed schools. Whenever people are off work.

My mom and Cousin (MOH) apparently have a very secretive Pinterest board for my Bridal Shower lol. I have NO idea what they're planning.

I work some Saturday's which they're both aware of so hopefully they let me know what day they're planning it so I can work my schedule in my favor tho I only work till 1 PM on Saturdays.

I don't think I would care if it was a Saturday or Sunday, but I imagine they'll do a Sunday as we are big "Sunday Dinner" people so we're just used to congregating on that day of the week lol

I randomly found your reply when figuring out if it was bad to have my shower the day before Easter lol. Was it ok? Did people have an issue with coming the day before a holiday?? Thanks!

Sorry for late response! Yes, it was fine! Nobody had any issues and if anyone did have an issue, we didn’t know!
